Character Actress Reta Shaw Singing Sophie Tucker's "Some of These Days" on The Ghost and Mrs. Muir!

Fabulously blowsy character actress Reta Shaw, best known for her performances as the Nanny Cook in Mary Poppins and an escaped convict on The Andy Griffith Show, is seen here going back to her musical theatre roots. Ms. Shaw originated roles on the Broadway stage in both The Pajama Game and Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
On the episode "Amateur Night" (Season 2, Episode 22) of The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Carolyn Muir is putting together a benefit and asks some of the local talent to lend a hand. One of those who volunteer is her affable, adorable housekeeper, Martha Grant. She belts out a number made famous by Sophie Tucker, "Some of These Days." (And she does a damn good impression of her, to boot!)
