    Tatiana's stage presence, energy, & confidence are off the charts. When she has the mic, there can be no doubt, that is HER stage.

    Fun Facts of the Day:
    1- Jinjer was founded in 2009. None of the founding members is currently in the band, the last one to leave was Dmitriy Oksen, the 2nd guitarist, in 2015. Tatiana and Roman (guitar) joined in 2010, Eugene (bass) joined in 2011. The fun fact is that all of them joined Jinjer only temporarily but ended up staying til today. : )
    2- When asked about the meaning of the band's name, Eugene always says he doesn't know because none of them were in the band at the beginning. When Oksen left, the band already had a somewhat established name, so they kept it. Eugene says he hates the name but it has a ring to it and it's different from the "normal" Metal bands' names, so it makes it even cooler because no one expects a band called Jinjer to sound like this. : )

    Tatiana has a tattoo of the face of Frida and amy winehouse morphed together, her two heroes. Ne obliviscaris-and plague flowers the kaleidoscope live in Denver or Devour me, colossus live. You guys will lover it and their bassist is also a bad ass as well and the have a violinist.

    They don't have any solos(closest thing for what u guys where asking about as far as bass solo is at the end of Under the Dome) for any of the members their music is more about making everything serve the song but u can check out playthroughs Eugene(the bassist) has a few and even some with tabs on screen and Roman(lead guitar) has playthroughs for just about every song from before the recent EP also Vlad(the drummer) has at least one playthrough

    You should check out Teacher, Teacher by them Tatiana has some bars in that one. Also another great group with a female lead singer is Nightwish. Checkout their song Your is an empty hope Live at Wembley Arena. Floor is another gifted singer that can do it all to including growling, also Ghost Love score Live at Wacken 2013 is a great one as well.. Floor Jansen is the lead singer and is classically trained. Between Floor and Tatiana I think they are the best Metal singers in the business right now.

    Another great band yall should check out is Architects and their song Doomsday. The songs about their guitarist (Tom) who died of cancer. He pretty much wrote every aspect of their music throughout their career. The main person in the video is his brother Dan (also the drummer of the band). Dan plays the part of his brother in the video returning his spirit back into the universe since we're all basically just stardust.

    When Tatiana was younger she screamed Otep songs into a pillow then would go outside and scream at passing cars. Tati is also heavily influenced/inspired by Amy Winehouse and has also listened to Gwen Stefani. Also The offspring is one of her main bands. When Tati was 18/19 she found she could do a Randy Blythe style-Lamb of God. Which has been developed to perfection.

  • @barkingwolff
    @barkingwolff Před 5 lety +3

    Hi!
    This type of harsh vocals used by the vocalist is called fry screaming (sometimes confused with classical growling, which is a completely different type of vocals). When using it, the vocalist does not use the vocal cords at all, so cords do not suffer from excessive load. This is a very complicated vocal technique, and if one use it incorrectly, he can critically damage the vocal cords. And Tatiana is fluent in this technique, as well as in clear singing...
    Tatiana on stage is a demon with angel wings and the voices of both of them!
    I advise you to see "Captain Clock" at Ressurection Fest EG2018 official live ( czcams.com/video/ArXkEjGvoLc/video.html ) - you definitely won’t forget it. :D
    So, greetings from Kiev, Ukraine!

      @barkingwolff Před 5 lety

      @@revan90_ Hi! Firstly thanks for the information, and secondly do you remember if she spoke in that message about what type of vocals she uses? In my statement I simply proceeded from just musical knowledge and not from the statements of Tatiana or Jinjer members.
      Peace!

    • @revan90_
      @revan90_ Před 5 lety +1

      @@barkingwolff No, she didn't mentioned that. Maybe it's her sweet secret ;) but her harsh vocals are much deeper and lower than regular fry scream.

    Well if you want some Tatiana hip hop try "Teacher, Teacher". She does it all in that song: hip hop, some almost rap like sections, growls, clean/growl switchups, and an absolutely beautiful clean section at the end. For something completely left field from them try Beggars Dance. It's just a fun song they chucked in as an album closer but it's totally different to their normal style. And finally on the bass side of things there's an entire bass solo song in the Micro album closer for which is also called "Micro"

  • @Vipppala
    @Vipppala Před 5 lety +2

    Yes,. their bass player is amazing. Jinjers own channel( czcams.com/users/dmitriyoksen ) has bass playthrough videos with bass very strongly highlighted in the mix, some with included real time tabs. I suggest you check out the actual songs first, but this for example is a bass playthrough of Teacher Teacher. czcams.com/video/3vPA1jH2za4/video.html

    I'd love to see Tati put on a Batman mask and do iconic lines from the Nolan movies. They don't really do solos. There are little bits where one instrument shines through here and there, but their sound is all about teamwork, with the whole band working together seamlessly as a delivery system for Tati's vocals.
