OMG WOW....I am actually 12 years old and I imagine going to Le Rosey (my friend goes there)...And to go there I have to study really hard (there's a really hard exam)...So my dad said that i have to be TOP STUDENT in my school first...And we don`t have enough money for Le Rosey...I hope one day I`ll go there...I mean...It`s my dream school!

Hei! Jeg gjorde første året mitt i norge og har nettopp flyttet til England for å fortsette med de siste årene av bacheloren min. Jeg kan si først at det er litt mer intensiv her pga. de kortere semestre (10 uker før jul, mens norge er 16 tror jeg), men overalt er det ganske like (det er selvsagt forskjeller mellom vhs og universitet i begge land). Det internasjonale studentmiljøet her er veldig bra. Jeg tror ikke du vil ha noe problemer med å flytte til England fra Norge. Lykke til!

I'm a first year student at a uni in Amsterdam. I have my dorm and everything ready but I didn't move yet because all of my classes are online and the covid situation is so confusing. What is the main reason why you moved to London this year (eventhough the classes are online)? I change my mind like everyday about moving or staying at home until the covid situation settles. Do you guys think its worth moving in these circumstances? If anyone who is in my situation can give me advice I would be SOO happy!!!!

I’m just going to say it really would depend on the course. I have labs and obviously they need to be done in person but for all non science courses at my college, it’s all online with some exceptions

don’t know why most people decided to travel back to the UK when covid cases is so huge there, only a small percentage of people in the UK especially londoners who follows covid protocols. wish nothing but the best
I think mostly because health care is free even for international student.
Parikrama Sapkota well NHS don’t even care about people getting covid, in the early covid days they even ask those people who are concern that they might have the virus to quarantine for 14 days and they don’t even accept any more patients after the UK hit 1k cases. So, idk about that...

It’s private accommodation. It’s a studio and very modern so I’m gonna guess pretty expensive!

Late but I think she goes to UCL? In the U.K. we don’t have majors. You just apply for your course as your degree, not to a uni like they do in America.

What uni do you go to? I’m 15 and planning for the future to go to a uni in London and I’ve done a lot of research but I’m still deciding what uni I should go to. Any suggestions?
In general, unis are basically the same below a certain point. Unless you're thinking of somewhere incredibly hard like University College London, the most important think is how well known that school is for what you want to study.

So can someone explain after secondary school in the UK, you have a option to go to either sixth form or college but the college is not any degree after you finish, you’re 18 does that mean you have the option to go to college like bachelor degree or do u go straight to UNI
You have to be in full time education until you are 18 in the UK so after you do GCSEs when you are 16 you can either stay in 'school' and go to 6th form college where you will do your A levels then usually go onto university to do a degree if you want or after GCSEs leave school and go to a vocational college or start an apprenticeship to learn a trade or specific job. Hope that helps!
