Excuse me for being cheeky about such a serious event, but I found it quite amusing that at one point Simpson was locked in a Vegas hotel room, in dispute, with three Vegas gangsters, and everyone in the room knew who was actually the most dangerous man in the room, and it wasn't them.

I'm not necessarily sold on any particular theory regarding what happens when you die or how it relates to your behavior on earth, but maybe his denial that he was ill to the public and those around him was related to some fear he may have had about what waited for him in the afterlife. We reflect on these things heavily when our lives are coming to an end. Who knows.
