Locked On Tigers POSTCAST: Detroit Tigers FALL IN EXTRA INNINGS To Angels | 4-Game Losing Streak

Detroit Tigers lose a thrilling extra-innings showdown at Angel Stadium to the Los Angeles Angels with a final score of 6-5. Detroit Tigers' efforts were led by Jake Rogers, who hit a home run and drove in three runs, going 1-3 at the plate. Wenceel Perez also contributed with two hits and a run scored. Reese Olson had a solid start on the mound, pitching six innings with nine strikeouts but a wild pitch in the third allowed the Angels to tie the game. Despite a two-run lead established after another run-producing effort in the sixth, the Tigers couldn't maintain it. Logan O'Hoppe's late solo home run in the eighth inning brought the Angels back into the contest. Then, in the bottom of the 10th, a clutch single by Kevin Pillar sealed the victory for the Angels, scoring Taylor Ward. Jason Foley, who pitched 1.1 innings, took the loss for the Detroit Tigers.

I hope all those Tigers fans protesting any trade of Skubal are crying in their soup right now! We just got swept by a mediocre Angels squad thar hasn't sniffed the playoffs in a decade. An Angel's squad without their two best hitters over the past 30 years in Trout and Otani!!! To make it worse, I can't name the 3 starting Angels pitchers that we just faced??? On top of that, all the tradeable pieces we had decided to start playing like crap all at the same time only a few weeks before the deadline. Canha, Urshela and Kelly have all stopped hitting. Maeda, Chafin and Miller all look horrible! And Flaherty's trade value has plummeted due to his back flare up and a lousy start where he gave up 3 homeruns to a lousy Angels lineup. It's only one start you might say! I say, it's a reminder to the rest of the league what Flaherty has been the past 3 years. Gonna be hard to walk away from the trade deadline with any decent prospects if this continues. That's why trading Skubal is a must at this point! The Tigers aren't contending this year or next. Not until Tork, Meadows, Malloy and Keith figure it out! Not until Carp gets healthy and back in the lineup! And not until Manning and Mize start pitching like the 1st round picks that they were drafted to be. My feeling is this whole team needs to be gutted! Sell all your best players and start over!! Because even with all these guys, the Tigers at best are a .500 team and will never make the playoffs.
