Angel fan since 1998. Go to 20 games a year. There's NOTHING wrong with our stadium! Maybe replace some seats? Maybe re-label the sections with new signs? Maybe renovate the bathrooms? Maybe give it some new paint. But tear down the whole thing? No. I personally like the big parking lot. Makes it easy to get in and out. I feel like this is only being talked about because of the team's recent struggles. Arte needs to sell! Also, if every stadium was renovated to modern standards, every ballpark would look the same. Who wants that?
Exactly! I keep hearing him talk about how awful this stadium is but I totally disagree! I go to a ton of Angels games and have never thought they needed to demolish the stadium. A renovation? Maybe. But absolutely no need to demolish
You do realize that the owners don’t look at it like the fans do don’t you? The fans aren’t even a consideration in the stadium one up game and what we want or don’t want isn’t even discussed

Answer: Not in our lifetime, unless Angels' owner foot the total bill for a new stadium. The current location is perfect if a new ballpark is built. Long Beach is too far with less density than Orange County. Also, the State of California is done with paying for new stadiums unless the local governments want the new stadium within their limits, like the 49ers in Santa Clara.

Fun fact regarding Angels Stadium: Those curving, low outfield walls where the left and right foul poles stand were originally inspired by the configuration of the 1923 Yankees Stadium! Look at some old photos from the 50's and early 60's and you'll notice the similarities. First few rows of outfield seats nearly level with the warning tracks. Take away the green padding in exchange for mesh gates, and there you go! Even the foul pole to seat configurations at Dodgers Stadium harken back to old Yankees Stadium.❤
Loved watching the LA RAMS on TV back east from Anaheim Stadium. Lots of great classic Rock Bands have played there as well. DISNEY messed it up along with the Uniform change in the late 90's. Almost perfect weather just about everyday. Easy to get to. Especially when compared to Chavez Ravine. Bring back DAVID ECKSTEIN as Manager!

Orange County has picture perfect weather and zero rain during Baseball season.. I like DG, but cmon Man. You gotta do better, step up your research and quit making proclamations that make zero sense..
Angel Stadium is a gem! B-e-a utiful place to watch games. I vote for a ballpark village in centerfield like St. Louis or the Battery in Atlanta, maybe something like the Staples Center or Rangers ballpark in Arlington and a bunch of affordable condo towers. And by affordable I mean like $50k units not $500k. Make it a place for working people.
Have you ever been to Angel Stadium or Dodger Stadium? Dodger Stadium has "charm", lol. Dodger Stadium is just a bunch of seats. Angel Stadium is much nicer to watch a ballgame and is family friendly unlike Dodger Stadium.
If they built a new stadium next to the old one they would want to add a stadium district around it. They won the W.S. in 2002 - it's hard to believe how far they have fallen.
I can’t say this more strongly. Whether the fans think you need a new stadium or not is 100% completely irrelevant in the stadium game. I mean, the fans opinion isn’t even a discussion. When will the American public realize that the owners are primarily about making money over everything else.

This channel loses credibility when he doesn't do his homework. The Angels getting a new stadium is non-existent at the moment. Ever since the FBI raided the city and Arte MoMo-reno were caught making illegal campaign donations to the Anaheim city council.
I think he was saying when new ownership comes in they will push to build a new ball park. But yeah he doesn't do any home work. "Angels were in talks with long Beach to move" yeah they never even met lol
Angels fan here. Been miserable for over a decade. The ownership is just cashing out. He can care less about winning. The stadium experience is absolutely horrible. Not Oakland As horrible but for a team that has had a ton of support from the fans it's pathetic. I stopped showing up 3yrs ago.
It takes decades for any abandoned stadium in California to be demolished. There’s too much red tape. Angels stadium is going to be here for decades. Same with the Coliseum.
Not the same story. That was literally made into a landmark because it was the 8th wonder of the world. California is just incompetent, lazy and corrupt.
That stadium has such a boring feel to it I hope they move would have been smart when the raiders and chargers lost out of the Carson location the angels should have jumped on it
Huge Angels fan here, went to my first game in 1984 for my tenth birthday! Angels stadium is old and feels old, but fits like a perfectly worn in glove. There was a proposal floating around to build multiple parking structures (ala Disneyland) next to the current park and build a new park on the current grounds. As part of that proposal, they were going to add in a new business park and some low income housing along with shopping/dining areas. This sounded like a fair compromise for the city and the Angels, but for whatever reason was squashed. We should go back to being the California Angels, with a new stadium before we make any sort of investment in major league talent, we have nothing in the minors and we keep throwing bad contract after bad contract and getting nowhere.

But it turns the Angels into a small market team. For better or for worse the team makes way more money with "LA" in their name as opposed to Anaheim.
Anaheim is pretty much LA I know it's rare but it's about a seven minute drive into LA county
