Dimash blows Mariah Carey and everyone else out of the water. He's been university trained since he was five. Two Masters degrees and working on his PhD in musicology. Sells out arenas all over the world. Sings in every genre, even rap. Red belt in taekwondo.
Above all this, he's a stellar human being. Deeply humble and rooted, respectful to all. Charitable, privately very generous. He just pulled off a huge, beautiful concert in Dubai during wartime, despite being stuck in an involved country until days before his concert. He had only 2 days to rehearse. Many of his team are Ukranian and couldn't make it. He gave an impassioned speech about the war during his concert, even though it could cost him immensely professionally. He's head and shoulders above most people on this planet.

Hi, I left a comment earlier but since then have been reading the other comments and see that a lot of hard core Dimash fans (and I'm one of his most passionate) are upset by your reaction. Having spent my life in the retail music business I am keenly aware of the wide range of music tastes that occur among human beings so I was far less surprised by your reaction than others were. Some people only want to see positive reactions, they don't want to see honest ones. I appreciate the honest ones. That being said, the two songs you have reacted to are not a true representation of what Dimash is all about since he has created his own genre of music, and each of those songs just touches on a tip of a very large iceberg. "SOS" is simply the song that brought him to worldwide attention which is why it is often recommended to first time reactors. But the guy sings everything from opera to rap--and he does it all brilliantly. I spent my life immersing myself in American and western European pop music until I started dabbling in Dimash's unique catalog of songs that often blend sounds from the pop music of countries the world over and I can truly say that all the most important music of my life became less important to me once I started sampling all that Dimash has to offer. As for his range, he rarely puts it all into the same song, although "Stranger" comes the closest, I think. (People often say that performance has a significant "Game of Thrones" feel to it.) And in the four years since he performed the video you just watched, Dimash has come to own the stage like no performer I have ever witnessed. He performed on one outdoor stage in front of 150,000 fans and he has sold out every stadium and arena in which he has performed--including one in New York in 2019. I have often said---and I mean it--that I would donate a body part in order to sit in the front row at a Dimash concert.
I appreciate the fact that you gave an honest reaction and I respect that everyone is entitled to one's own music taste. That being said, I can't begin to tell you how many people from around the world who were previously only into metal, only into rap, only into folk or country or opera or K-pop or anything else have become captivated by Dimash's voice, performances of every style of music under the sun, stage presence and humanitarianism. He is one special performer and one special human being. If you dare to try something entirely different from the two you have seen, other than "Stranger" I would love to see your reaction to "Be With Me," "War and Peace," "Elim Menin," and "Olimpico."--all massively different from one another and all totally different from anything you have seen thus far.

@@AjjuBhai-mc8vl I get it, Aiju, I really do. I have simply learned not to make assumptions about others based on brief introductions to them. Some of those in my life who gave off the most negative vibes in the beginning turned out to be respected associates and best friends. Hopefully they are coming to understand why they deserve much of the criticism they are receiving but, after all, it is their channel, time and money that goes into to creating their videos and they do have 2,500 subscribers which likely means that at least a few of the 3,700 youtubers who viewed their video were exposed to Dimash for the first time. As they say in the advertising business, even negative publicity is good publicity--and just look at what this couple, and others reading the comments, has learned as a result of the feedback they are getting by those who are upset with them for the way they reacted.
I'm all about seeing to it that Dimash is exposed to the greatest number of people possible---whatever it takes. And always keep in mind that some of the youtubers who weren't impressed with whatever first performance of Dimash that they witnessed went on to become some of his biggest fans once they allowed themselves to experience all he has to offer. I'm not suggesting that is likely to happen in this case but I do believe in second chances and in giving people the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes that has come back to bite me but, when all is said and done, I believe that being kind is better than being right.

No, he definitely is not a castrato! He has a 7 octave range that defies belief, combination of 23 years of classical training, brilliant genetics and the grace of God. He is the most technical singer around and I am sure that if people put only half of the work he puts in, they would be able to have a fairly acceptable voice. Thanks for the reaction.

He's in concert in Dusseldorf Germany today, performed a concert in Dubai last week - sold out wherever he goes - you need to check out STRANGER, AVE MARIA, BE WITH ME, ENDLESS DIMENSIONS, OGNI PIETRA, SCREAMING, LOVE IS A DREAM, IKANAIDE, DAYBREAK - Stunning performance, heartbreaking, get the back story - sings in 15 languages, singer, writer composer, director, producer, athlete, model, dancer- classically trained from age 5 - degrees in opera, composition, and working on his doctorate in musicology - Dimash is perfection - not a note out of place, and Mariah Carey can only dream of what Dimash can do ~ he's now 28 years old. He outperforms Lionel Ritchie in HELLO ~His videos and concert productions outclass anything you will see anywhere else ~ He has a 7 plus vocal range, perfect pitch, and is the most humble human being you will see anywhere - he performs everything from folk to rap ~ you haven't touched the tip of this iceberg yet
DIVA DANCE from 5th Element was written for synthesizer and he floats through it like a vocal warmup
Igor Krutoy, Russian composer/conductor extraordinare, came out of retirement to work with and write for Dimash - whether you like his singing or not, he is one of the most respected musicians on the planet - also a multi-instrumentalist - piano, dombra, cello, drums, keyboards.
ADAGIO, performed at I AM SINGER< China is remarkable as well
A comment was made about him smacking his lips~ not possible - Dimash is the most technically proficient singer on the planet, perhaps ever and he never places a note that isn't absolutely perfect - he would not have his degrees in opera, composition or musicology if he was 'smacking his lips' - you may not like his music but there's not doubt he truly is the best singer on the planet -I don't know who you were listening to but it sure wasn't Dimash - he's know globally for his technical ability not to mention his sheer talent, dedication and commitment

Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than Ten(10) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato, whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. This song is a pearl of the French songbook is a Canadian-French cyberpunk-rock opera written in 1976 by Michel Berger (French) and with lyrics by Luc Plamondon (Canada) and was immortalized in the voices of Daniel Balavoine and Diane Dufresne. The theme of the song is depression and, in the 2021 version, Dimash faithfully and brilliantly presents a sentimental and melancholic interpretation! As the singing decisions follow the original structure of the song to show the psychological instability of the distressed character: From the chest voice to the head voice and then the falsetto, the author aimed to show a broad need to overcome a long of despair and need to reach a very high perspective! Dimash, currently in his concerts, dedicates this song to his friends and acquaintances who departed this world!

You still haven't come close to seeing the range. You can try Stranger which is not only in English but has a wider range, not as high as he can go but still a vast range in one song. Sinful Passion also, which is in Russian but has subtitles. Please be respectful of Dimash. He has millions of fans from a very vast range of countries, many of which are incredibly respectful people. If you want modern, do Dimash Screaming, Idol Hits, Be With Me, Fly Away, Golden, Kieli Meken, which is more rocking but in Kazakh. You still did not get close to what Dimash is because he does a vast range of genres also.

    @magosiawasala2663 Před 2 lety +28

Usually everyone (including the greatest singers) has a certain timbre of voice, its type, range and voice accessories inherent in it. In men, the high voice is the tenor, the lower is the baritone, and the low is the bass. For women - by analogy: soprano, mezzo-soprano, alto, contralto, etc. Is it possible, if someone could recreate all these voices? (...) No, it is not possible!
Only Dimash is capable of this!
There is a concept in music that is called an imitation, e.g. a girl who has an alto voice, imitates a mezzo-soprano, borrows it and raises it higher. But that's not her voice.
The amazing thing about Dimash is that all we hear is his natural, authentic voice, which has the effect of having several people singing a song at once, but it's actually the voice of one person.
Dimash does not imitate a soprano (...) He has a truly masculine and feminine voice with full range in both cases.
So what can we say about someone who has a 6 octave voice ?!
Even more mysterious and amazing is how, in the same song, Dimash switches from one vocal technique to another and does it so often and smoothly that it doesn't tire our hearing, it happens so smoothly that even a computer cannot do it. Each vocal technique takes years of training, years of hard work! His incredible love for music and improving himself to perfection.
Dimash once said jokingly that: "As children grow up, they lose the ability to sing high notes ... except for me and the girls (ha, ha) The Creator has given me a lot of talent and I can't miss it and I want to work and improve even more. so as not to waste it "

SOS, is a song from Starmania, a Canadian-French cyberpunk rock opera written in 1976. This is a song about depression & thoughts of suicide. Enjoy the journey, you've only just begun. .

S.O.S. of a Soul in Distress
Why do I live, why do I die?
Why do I laugh, why do I cry?
Here is the SOS of a man in distress

I've never had both feet upon the ground
    I'd rather be a bird
I don't fit into this skin
I'd like to see the world turned upside down
    If ever it were beautiful
It's lovelier from above, from above
    I've always confused life
    with the comic strips
    Even wished I could transform
    I feel something
    That draws me
    That draws me
    That draws me up

Into the great lotto of the universe
I don't have the right numbers
I don't fit into this skin
    I don't want to be a robot
    Eating, working, sleeping

Why do I live, why do I die
Why do I live, why do I cry
    I think I'm catching waves
    From another world
I've never had both feet upon the ground
    I'd rather be a bird
I'd like to see the world turned upside down
    I'd rather be a bird
    Sleep, child, sleep

Dimash has practiced for a long time and now he has mastered his access to all his registers which include a very rare male soprano. He has 4 true registers I have heard so far: baritone, tenor, counter tenor, and soprano. He has access to bass through false voice (ie. growl) although in recent 'Stranger' it sounds like he also has true voice now in that register. He is the only one non-castrati male who can go soprano and bass at the same time.

I think k your reaction it's a little bit sarcastic dimash is the best vocal technique on the world is not the best soprano not the best tenor but he has more than 7 registers and almost 8 octaves and he's got a register off the piano and also I don't understand the point to be castrated no point I think that is disrespectful with ever way I encourage you triste more dimash so you know what I mean

Almost Mariah Carey level? Mariah Carey wishes she could hit the notes he can. Not to mention she doesn't have a seven octave range.
He has a whistle register that Mariah Carey couldn't hold a candle to. He sings a D8 whistle note in Unforgettable Day which is one full note higher than a standard 88 key piano can play.
You can hear his almost his full range in Stranger. You definitely should check that out.
You are too used to Western music which is almost always auto-tuned and produced where they remove all the sounds you're talking about. But to be able to hear those things and a live performance first of all lets you know that it is not overly produced and it's the beauty of live singing.
Style of music is always a subjective thing but since he sings almost every genre from rap to Opera you should find something that you really like.

“SOS d'un terrien en détresse” tells of an earthly being that is in distress and asking for help because he never felt well in his own skin, he better wants to be a bird to see the world in case it could be more beautiful when seen from above. It is a part of an french Rock-Pop opera released in 1979: Starmania. One of the 5 most difficult songs in French language. It was recorded by Daniel Balavoine in 1979 or so and Grégory Lemarchal won of the French reality singing competition Star Academy 2014 with this song.

Just a side note.....feeling he is not the kind of a singer you both prefer...that is okay because we all have our own perception of what a great vocalist one is to each of us, and what we prefer to listen to. As for me,it’s a vocalist without limits in his vocal range, perfect vocal techniques, quality of voice specially and the perfect usage of his voice according to the education he mastered as well as the practice to perfection he went through. But mostly...the God given talent from the beginning of it all that shines most.
I would rather suggest you try this ultimate vocal ability he performed of a song that was created for an alien that no man can sing in reality.Remember the movie Fifth Element? The song is Diva Dance. His performance of this during the competition was with Confessa. Please give this a try. Thanks...

You should try the one Olypico or otherwise known also as Ogni Pietra. It is a lot more operatic but very impressive with a really awesome beat. Dimash's technique does use a lot of breathiness, but from what many vocal coaches say it is a good form and well supported. That said I can see how it would not be to the taste of many. Even for me being South African, I pretty much grew up listening to American, British and Canadian Musicians - lol. Dimash is just very unique and if you are just into the high notes, there are videos on youtube about him "forgetting to be human" 😂😂

Good reaction my friends!!...Thank you for follow my recomendation to react to Dimash, the best male singer of the world...But now I ask you: Have you seen the best female singer of the world?...The passion and dedication when Dimash is performing a song can only be compared with the person who has influenced him to sing leaving everything on stage: His idol, the queen, the incomparable Lara Fabian...Lara is the best female singer and performer of the world...She is a lyric soprano with a amazing vocal range and incredible breath control, which is one of the things that Dimash admires the most about Lara...She speaks 5 languages and sings like in 12 languages....That's why she is the inspiration for Dimash and several singers around the world...You can see on CZcams covers of her songs made by singers of the stature of: Dimash, Diana Ankudinova, Forestella, Sissel Kyrkjebo, Floor Jansen, Diana Navarro, Morissette Amon, Gabriel Henrique, Katrina Velarde, Cakra Khan and others...Please react to her songs, all masterpieces, in LIVE versions, because Lara is more impressive when she sings live, so you can see why she is the idol of Dimash...Try to do it in this order and almost all songs are from the same Lara’s concert “From Lara With Love” in Montreal 1999, one of her best works: 1) Je Suis Malade (Singing in French)...2) Caruso (Singing in Italian)...3) Je T'AIME (2002 Live version in Paris Singing in French)...4) Perdere L'Amore (1999 Live version Singing in Italian)...5) Adagio (1999 Live version singing in english)...6) Broken Vow (1999 Live version singing in English)...7) You are Not From Here (1999 Live version singing in English)...8) Quédate (1999 Live version singing in Spanish)....9) Ti Amo Cosi (2019 Live version Singing a trío with Dimash and Aida Garifullina)....I hope to see you first reaction soon and if you don't mind, I'd like you to mention me as the person who recommended reacting to Lara...Here you have the link of her amazing performance of the song “Je Suis Malade”....czcams.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/video.html

I don`t know if he`s gonna be your cup of tea, and maybe if you react to one more(last?) song of his, it should be "Stranger" czcams.com/video/lFsB5HVnmSA/video.html or "Adagio" czcams.com/video/eaq24OhkBRE/video.html , or just go straight to a medley displaying his vocal range czcams.com/video/Lz0MhjXFuzo/video.html and be done.
He graduated Classical (Bel Canto) and Contemporary university training, and does vocal training a minimum of 3 hours every day, that is why he can do what he does, I know you know this already, saying this for other people who might land on your video and listen to your "castration" comments. Not saying I`m offended, only that it was kind of the cringey highlight in your commentary. No, they don`t castrate people in Kazakhstan, and referring to your comment in the previous reaction, "Borat" was filmed in another country and it was an insult to that country as well.
Kazakhstan is the most prosperous country in Central Asia today.
You can move on to other artists, you don`t have to stick with him if you`re not impressed or don`t have much to analyse or enjoy about the vocal techniques that he uses, the composition or anything.
We get it, it`s fine :) and we like you guys :)
He had a solo concert in New York, in a full Barclays Center arena, and he performs songs in many styles, from operatic to pop, rap inserts, rock influences etc, voice dynamics are his forte, he plays 6 instruments aside from piano which he studied since he was 5 yo, has absolute pitch diagnosed by teachers, and has a master`s degree in composition, aside from vocal training. For others landing here who might not know.
Have a great day guys :)
    ---------------------------------------
[ If you ever do want to see a snippet of Kazakhstan history, Dimash performing a song + a bit of backstory of his country`s history, you can watch/react to czcams.com/video/tOs7rkn36L0/video.html . It`s not a documentary, or a long video. Just a song based on a poem written in prison by a great kazakh poet that enlightened his people about freedom and modernization, and that was executed in prison during "The Great Terror" in the 1930s. You get to see one of the largest Opera Houses in the world, located in Kazakhstan, you get to see a famous soprano that was also one of Dimash`s teachers, also, him playing a traditional instrument before singing the song. The arrangement for the song was made by his father`s friend, it`s one of the songs most dear to Dimash, his dream was to perform it on stage for the world to hear, and now he does that in every concert, and the whole crown sings along with him.
And no, a soprano wasn`t his only teacher, making it a reason for him to sing high notes -> this is him singing "Brucia la Terra" from "Godfather"part III, in sicilian, with his other teacher Marat Aytimov, a teacher of colossal quality : czcams.com/video/ZXGRoLjY4bo/video.html
And here you can see Dimash singing acapella for Andrea Bocelli, at Bocelli`s invitation to hear Dimash`s voice czcams.com/video/Ayb7IX-ry8M/video.html ]
