      @@GdzieJestNemo Nah, he just took over it and now they do the same, just for a different party. Lets ignore the fact that the media takeover was a phenomenon during Tusk's former mandate. As long as there is state sponsored press, they will propagate the point of view of those in power who finance them. If Tusk REALLY wanted to make a reform in the direction he wants, he would privatize state media. But I guess he does not want to cause he risks those being bought by his political adversaries, rather than his own cronies.

    when Fico in Slovakia does something similar, but not so dramatically
    "Democrats" all over the EU are shouting that he is a dictator

      Fortunately, since PiS was voted out, public media has begun a gradual recovery. Sadly, the scale of damage to the media environment, resulting from the actions of the mentioned regime, is massive.
      Both the damage to the rule of law and the credibility of public media have been done, and it will take time to fully reverse the criminal actions of the PiS regime.
      Next spring, when the incumbent president, an imposter and a true shame and embarrassment to the Polish nation, is gone, the real makeover will progress🎉🎉

    • @Kalimdor199Menegroth
      @Kalimdor199Menegroth Před 15 dny

      @@philipen65888 Unfortunately, since PiS was voted out, Poland starts to look more and more like under Jaruzelski's regime, when the opposition was being repressed. The scale of damage to the media and to civil society in just a few months far outscales the damage of PiS in 8 years of rule.
      Hopefully, PiS manages to retain the presidentship next spring to balance the current pro-EU authoritarian administration, otherwise Poland might go on a path of no return like other similar leftist dictatorships in the EU and America.
      I trust the wisdom of the Polish people, and for them to not forget that Europe has both a German and a Russian problem. PiS understood this, which is why they are great and the best choice in the current left-wing political hellscape that is the EU.

    „The coalition is center-left” the reporter who wrote that should be fired. Lack of understanding basic facts about a country you are reporting on is a sign of ignorance.

    • @veretigovi6316
      @veretigovi6316 Před 16 dny +6

      As a Pole, I really think that is probably the best way to describe it unless you want to spend 5 minutes out of a 9 minute video discussing the Polish governmental makeup.
      The coalition ranges from Trzecia Droga (Center, some argue center-right or center-left), to Civic Coalition (usually labeled center-left), to Lewica (Left). It is fair to call the median of the coalition center-left.
      I have no idea how his description of the coalition as "center-left" indicates a lack of understanding of basic facts or ignorance. Most political scientists, commentators and Poles generally describe it the same; the coalition itself has also described it this way.

    Very misleading presentation. In a music orchestra or band there is always a conductor. Why?
    Cuz everyone in the group can play simultaneously and without a coordinating mechanism all you get is NOISE. Then who ever wants to get noticed plays louder and louder. Which causes others to play louder and louder. That loop only breaks when there is a coordination mechanism.
    This is exactly what has happened after the Internet arrived. Everyone is able to Broadcast. For FREE (not just the people who have a broadcasting license as in the past, or owned newspapers or radio spectrum). Everyone is speaking. But there is no coordination mechanism. There is no music conductor. There is no band leader. Therefore there is no Music possible.
