I find this a very clear and usefull insight on how a foundation is made. I live in Europe, and i have one question. The weeping tile is placed next to the foundation, this will drain the water en lower the water table. The lowering of the water table could influence the stability of the surroundings, for this reason it is not alwasy allowed in my country. Is this a problem in Canada or is the water table higher and is the weeping tile only collecting water from rain? Do you have to clear the filter membrain of the weeping tile after an amount of time?
Hi, No the weeping tile is just to collect the excess rain water. It is surrounded by small pebbles and crushed stones which acts as filters. So we never need to clean the filter membrane. The most important reason why we install weeping tile is to maintenan the water/humid level around the foundation wall and drain any excess water to the storm system, so the foundation structure remains stable.
Hello, it will depend on various factors: like condition of the soil, how deep you are going into the soil and what kind of plot you are building on (if its a lane home or, bungalow etc) but my very basic advice would be to make sure to use RCC for the walls and the foundation And use some waterproofing or dampproofing

It would have been great if i considered that too. And i admit that i am missing gravel uner the floor slab. Thanks for your comments!
But what about the slope it will collect water from slope and then push the wall towards using gravel means making a grave mistake in structure 😂😅
