Because people have to always act like they hate everything new. They got to appear to be edgy to keep their image up on hating everything new or anything popular, etc...
They didnt hate the belt... They hated that WWE just made a new Championship just so Roman Reigns couldnt lose. It diminishes him being the "Undisputed Champion" because now there is a dispute of whos the top Champion.

Edge would have to be my favorite world heavyweight champion. He was the world heavyweight champion of my childhood, and seeing all my favorite baby faces trying to win the title from him only to be cheated out of it was endlessly entertaining. I think Edge really fueled my love for heel champions he was undeniably cool even when he was being portrayed as pathetic.

When I think of the world heavyweight championship, the first person that comes to my mind is Triple H. He had his reign of terror in 2002 and 2003, and it got so ridiculous. He took on pretty much any and all challengers and always found a way to win. He would have to be my personal favorite because nobody else was as dominant over the world heavyweight championship.
For me , it´s Batista. But if we include all the history of the Big Gold Belt, the only name who comes on top it´s Ric Flair
Triple H and his reigns as World Heavyweight Champion pretty much summarise my youth and love for the WWE. Every time his entrance music came on and he walked out it was mayhem in the house.
