  • We take a look inside the offices above Northampton's bus station to find out why it would take more than a lick of paint and tidy up to bring it up to modern standards.

I think the best thing they could have done was refurbish this old one, it's driven the customers out of grosvenor centre, for many people like my Nan it was the entrance and best way to get in with escelators. The new one is too small, overcrowded, and leaves a lot of old people standing out in cold in Drapery and I know has put them off going into town completely. Looking at half shops closed and homeless people (not blaming the homeless people as not their fault) you can't say the new bus station has benifited the town, quite the oppositte.

They should have just refurbished it. The new drapery looks modern it’s in central town and way to overcrowded in there it’s way to cold and buses are outside. Especially with the Grosvenor entrance connected to the old station. I just don’t know how to explain but the old bus station was so so so so much better😥😔

I love these old 60's/70's buildings but they deteriorate like an ice cube in a boiling kettle, Corby has a few issues with these old empty buildings too.
