- I got the chance to take the NEW Ducati Hypermotard 698 MONO RVE for a spin, this is the first Ducati with a monocilinder and a different target audience for once. It has a very smooth quickshifter.

Just picked mine up today. Absolutely reminds me of my Husqvarna 510 SMR with slightly more refinement and electronics.
Not the first ducati with a monocylinder but rather the first new one in years ducati has major history with single cylinder motorycles

The agility and purpose of this model is lost on straight line pavement. I have a 2023 Hyper 950SP and other than leaving and returning to the city, I avoid roads without tight technical turns and sweepers. I hope that you can ride it to locations where you can lean it and test its features.
I second this! Had a 06’ KTM 950 SM (the bike that started the Hypermotard 1100 btw) it loved corners and wheelies lol but was not a straight line bike at all
I agree, it’s the most fun in the city or tight corners and wheelies, but it’s not actually as bad on a straight line as I expected.. I’ve hit 200 on it yesterday, which was pretty sketch tho 😂
My 950 isn't terrible on straights. I actually enjoyed doing some lite touring on it around Daytona during bike week.
I guess it all depends who you ride with too because all my buddies have naked bikes so I'm not always getting left behind on the long straight roads.

As you can see, there is no vibration in the engine. The image in the mirrors is very clear. I am currently using a KTM 6.40. The image behind disappears.

Noo, I’m loving the wheels like this! Yeah it’s pretty similar to the 690 and GasGas 701
The Spoke wheels are too Heavy and it worsens the driving experience
@@maoo.46 not with the good one, supermoto is not for high speead anw, and spoke wheels can take force from wheelie or bumper better, looks really nice too

It’s for the longer suspension travel, you can find this on every crossbike or supermoto 😋

Euh, seating position kinda, it’s got a bit more weight, but still very light, seat is a tad wider

I had a 701 SM and it was great for me as a dirt rider.

I have mine for 1 week and 600km on the clock. It’s an absolute dynamic beast on curvy mountain streets. Never had something so dynamic like this one. Did 3 hour tours and my butt was still ok.
I had a tour yesterday, got 460kms on it within 24 hours, butt was pretty bad tbh, but much more comfortable than expected for sure

Great bike, but man ducati missed on its price, you can buy monster for same money, this should be priced around mt07's gsx8s, it would be going at rate so fast it would outsell their entire range... 15k for 80hp singlecyl is a bit steep
Nah, this is way more than a MT07, suspension, electronics, everything lol..
This Ducati Is way Better than KTM family (KTM, Gas Gas, Husqvarna) therefore the price Is good enough given It Is Just the top of its class
Now... The point Is.... Reliability???

@@AugustaPerAngusta I don’t doubt it’s a great bike, with some interesting tech, great overall package, single brakes is a good cost savings for Ducati, but man 15k?? 10-12k would be so much better and then 15k for some special editions would be just bonkers. I know you have to spend good to be ducatista etc. But why not bring more people into your brand, porpably making them buy your overpriced gear with Ducati logos, maybe some other bikes in future, Italians just slept on a great hit that didn’t happen. Sometimes you have to sacrifice to grow double
