This is one of my favorite but the problem with them doing more like this is that they have a budget, this is a season finale episode so it had a much larger budget than the others allowing them to do a lot more cool and creative stuff
I actually love how saitama became happy when He noticed that his muscles were hurting, after all this time being bored. He even thanked Popeye for the good fight. It made me smile seeing saitama so happy
I think what love most about this match is that even though saitama was clearly out matched he didn’t care. All he wanted was a serious and fun fight with out having to worrying about one shotting is opponent, and Popeye gave him that. When Saitama thanked Popeye for the fight it was such a pitter sweet ending that still gives me goosebumps.
Characters like Luffy and Saitama made the whole "Toon Force" thing way harder to argue about cause despite BOTH characters not having the ability, their fandoms will argue with the sun that they do.
Luffy gear 5 is cartoonist, but toon force is different that just being a cartoon, this is why nobody can beat bugs. But saitama sole condition is that he always win with one hit, thats the parody of the whole series.

The recent death battles for the past, i want to say 2 years have been really damn good. DIO vs Alucard still holding as my favorite of all time. The team they have where they blend 3D environment and effects with 2d sprites look amazing and a team i hope they use going forward
