Kristin Nairn who plays Hodor auditioned also for the role of the yarp guy. Funny how it was another game of thrones cast member who won the role. The casting director was the same for both this and GOT, and it’s the reason Kristin landed the part of Hodor

Dunno if you noticed, but when nick frosts character was looking at DVD's in the supermarket as the chase starts, he puts down a DVD of Shaun of the Dead. the trilogy is full of lots of awesome little easter eggs.
