I am trying to remember whether the first Wes Anderson movie I saw was renting "Bottle Rocket" from our local video store and watching it with my friend and his brother. It may have also been seeing "Rushmore" in the theater as it came out. Either way he is one of a handful of Directors who I will see every movie he does as soon as it comes out, and for me that must be done in the theater if possible. When I saw "Asteroid City" I think there were maybe 15 or 16 other people in there with me and I got the feeling that everyone really liked it. For me I loved it, but for me I laughed throughout but I laughed the hardest at the roadrunner dance at the end. I must also say it was an absolute joy and privilege to see Hope Davis on the screen again. I have always been a huge fan of hers and I just remember in the 90's and early 2000's seeing her in so many independent films back then Campbell Scott. They were always great together. Whenever I watch a Wes Anderson film I always feel so relaxed and at ease. To me he is a Fable master, that is how I look at his films as Fables. I am glad you guys liked it, and I look forward to hearing from you again. I tried to find you on google podcasts but couldn't find it and I wish I still had Apple podcasts but I don't. I will now check Spotify and check you out there. Great job!

I've rewatched this first season many times and have picked up so many new things from it like early foreshadowing, easter eggs, motivations and details. It's a fun watch.

Wherever you got your information that Caesarean section was not practiced historically until the 1900s is simply wrong. Yes, the mortality rate is very high, and it was generally only done when the woman was certain to die or already dead. I think it's pretty clear from the show they don't expect her to survive the procedure. But on Earth we have evidence of it being practiced as far back as the 300BC - 100AD time frame. The procedure was known in ancient Rome and we have evidence of it being practiced in the Middle Ages.

Paddy Considine should have won all the awards for this. Although every actor did an absolutely amazing job.

Even though I was disappointed in both season 7 and 8 of Game of Thrones, I wasn't so turned off as to not be excited for this show. I really liked it, and having read the book "Fire and Blood" I am excited to see where the next season takes us. You all did a very good job on this one as usual.

I personally haven't played D&D since the eighties and early nineties. I think I have played in 7 or 8 campaigns in those years, but never since then. I must say this movie was so much fun, but I think that Hugh Grant kind of took me out of the story.

As a DM, I was thrilled when my players said it felt exactly like our games. I actually DMed the Icewind Dale campaign for a group of newbies, and was ecstatic the movie started there and they could say, "Hey, we were there...and caused all sorts of chaos."

I watched this as a young kid and Loved it. Amazing fun and bringing a small taste of classic fantasy, adventure, and horror by showing some of the most known characters from each as they go forward.

After the first two seasons of GOT, a friend recommended the show to me. I'd heard a bit about it and my exact reply to him was "I don't do swords and sandals epics!". He knew me well and insisted I would like it but I refused. Another two seasons went by, then with the 5th season about to start, The Young Turks, who I watched religiously back then, got really excited and hyped about the upcoming season which persuaded me to check the show out. Needless to say, I was hooked. I binged the back series and watched all the season episode reviews on TYT. At the end of that season I needed more Westeros in my life so I hit the books and have been hooked on ASOIAF since. My view of the show now, years removed from its end, is the first 4 seasons are the real thing (GRRM was still involved), the next two seasons are a bonus. The so-called seasons 7&8 don't appear on my horizon at all but I hear they are an abomination. I still have hope that I will read Winds Of Winter before either GRRM or I depart this realm. Loved your little dive back into the pilot episode.

I liked them the first two maybe, then Prince Caspian came Along and ruined the franchise. They were actually running against the clock of fantasy novels and Teen postapocalyptic films been popular.

I first started reading the books when "A Clash of Kings" came out in I think it was 1998, based on a highly recommend shelf in my local book store Powells books in Portland, Oregon. I asked one of the employees if she knew anything about the book and she said she absolutely loved it, but that this was the second book and that the first book "Game of Thrones" is the best hard fantasy book series in her opinion of the last ten years or more at the time. So I grabbed both books and I love them. Then when "A Storm of Swords" came out I was thunderstruck. For me this book is in my top ten of any book from any genre I have ever read. Now, I know they were very well regarded and sold relatively well but I don't think they got really popular until after "A Storm of Swords" came out, at least to my knowledge. The next two books were still very good for me, but the splitting up of the characters point of views based on whether they were in Westeros or Essos took a little more time for me to get used to. I will wait as long as it takes for "Winds of Winter" to come out as I think it will be different than many people think. As for the show I was hesitant at first, but there were two factors that kept me having a positive outlook. First, I knew that George was going to have a lot of input, and second, and probably more important was that is was going to be an HBO product and at the time and even now to a lesser extent they were channel for excellence in content. I am like you in that season 1-6 are far superior that that last two being quite disappointing even though I do think there are two really good episodes in seven, and one in eight. I also do not think that the last books will be as close to the show as many people think. Great job as always.

I’m from the US & My high school ten year reunion is coming up in a couple months and honestly it’s up to the school and your years student council members. My class student council goes above and beyond so they definitely have plans for a reunion. I know this was posted a year ago but I always wondered the same. I grew up devouring Degrassi every day after school. Love yalls video 💛✨

Even though I really like this one I do prefer the first one. The story in this one was just a bit clunky in places. I have always wanted to see spider punk. I remember having the poster on my wall back in college, him and spider pig were always my favorite variants. I am very excited to see the third part though. The animation and the soundtracks in these have been phenomenal. Great job, and I cannot wait for next week

I love this show so much

I love this show, and I agree that it is hard to pick a favorite, but I must say as a concept the energy vampire is the best. I also have loved Matt Berry for so long since I first watched him in "The IT Crowd". I believe that the next season which will be six is going to be its' last. The show does get very weird in the fourth season with one of the characters and brings it down for me a bit, but I think it is so wonderfully fun and witty, and you all have done a very good job with this. Thanks for talking about this. I cannot wait for your next episode.

I really enjoyed the score for Lost, particularly any variation on the Life and Death theme. Other composers I like are John Williams (naturally), Hans Zimmer, and James Horner.

The catterwalling charm (Alarm) would go off for anyone Apparating into Hogsmeade. There is also a jinx in place that prevents Disapperating from HogsMeade. Acting as a trap as once you are in, you can't get out. Anyone going to the Castle would properly appetite in the Hog Head inn and then go in via the tunnel.

Remus and Tonks had only just gotten married at the beginning of Deathly Hallows, it was only a bit into the story that they found they were going to have a baby and she had it shortly before the battle at Hogwarts in which they both died.

Oh this is a delightful reaction I'm glad i found this channel. It was a surprise for me but i don't think I'd love it so much if it was just a rehash of the movie. In regards to shows with a phenomenal first episode I'd recommend Interview with the vampire on amc, it has one of the best pilot episodes I've ever seen. captivating and so well structured it could even work as a standalone short film

They had a _general_ idea of the overall plot when they started, but most things in season 1 were established just for the funsies. However, because Alex Hirsch strongly emphasised continuity, they _kept track_ of every character and every thing they had established - and when they started writing season 2, they were able to look back at all of it and pull the elements that would perfectly fit into their plot to the foreground and imbue them with greater meaning. This makes _Gravity Falls_ perfect for re-watching, once you know the entire story. You can look at season 1 and see both the seeds being planted early and also the things that _clearly_ didn't mean yet, what they'd come to be later on.

I've seen every episode of Gravity Falls. It's one of my favorite TV shows. Great video!

I really loved this show. I loved the animation, and it was just so much fun. The show even though the animation style was kind of over done at the time, where it felt classic yet new. The story was where it really stood out for me especially that it was definitely a show meant for kids, but it played to a late teens, to mid 20's audience. This is kind of a much tamer version of Twin Peaks which is my favorite show of all time. Thank you once again for the wonderful content.

Shame the scouring of the Shire was not added on at the end, or even better was made into a 90 minute movie, a optional ending to the theatrical version. The Hobbit's getting it done, with no help from the big folk.
