I was short and on probation and was always scared in jail. I have no idea why since I never did anything that would make people hate me like that. I stole stuff when I was 19 out of cars and ended up catching a felony from it. It was my first time in serious legal trouble. My family figured they'd let me sweat it out in jail for a month. Fast forward 5 years later I ended up going to jail 3 times for violations. Not for any new cases or charges, just being negligent of the probation system and pretending like ignoring it and living my life would make it go away. It didn't. Now I'm off of probation and idk how to live my life without someone telling me what to do. I feel kind of lost. I see how people end up back in it. I learned how to survive a certain way on probation when I was becoming a man, now that I am one it's like WTF. I'm supposed to have all these answers when not that long ago I was told I wasn't even allowed to drink a beer because it might land me back in jail. Now I'm just on my own at 25. No phone calls. No court dates. It's supposed to feel great but instead I feel shame applying for jobs and explaining my history. I had an easier time getting a job on Probation because if my legal troubles came up they could call my PO and they could vouch for me getting that job. Now I'm just a dude with a record.
Respect Big Hurc. Keep telling them how it is. People should learn this stuff watching videos like this, not going through it with themselves, their friends and their families.
Look into real estate wholesaling. Become your own boss, invest in yourself and your future. Find something that can bring you value and help you grow as a person.

I'm 5 foot 6 and 170lbs. And I can tell you size doesnt matter, I've been a bouncer for 18 years now, people try me on all the time, at least they used to. Most people I've fought are bigger, I've even fought a few where I was outnumbered and still came out on top, my main concern is not being an asshole, I'm nice to everyone until I cant be anymore, not everyone I've had to fight is drunk either some.of them are sober and just in a mood, some are high on drugs that make them like superman, sometimes they come in groups of 10 or more but in the end if you're not a dick it works out, I did some time when I was a younger man and I was a scrawny kid and I was fine, attitude is everything in life.
Of course size matters but its not the only factor. Height iften comes with good reach/arm length but weight is a way bigger factor, there are weight classes but no height classes in any fighting sport. Most important factor is fighting spirit, experience and skill but size does still play a factor. Height adds to intimidiation factor for some people as well

I had a friend who got murdered in prison over some petty issue, he was 20 and got stabbed to death by some older inmate. The US prison systems are messed up and do NOT actually rehabilitate individuals but set them up for failure regardless of what your opinion might be. Also prisons should be segregated and should only house convicted murderers and convicted rapists, all others need to be in a less hostile environment and don't deserve to be mixed in with the extremists since they are not the same crimes.

this. It makes no sense to me why non-violent offenders are placed with violent offenders. They do have security levels though, so they are separated to an extent. Maybe it's a logistics issue.

I was accused and later released (because they found the actual culprit) after being accused of a robbery. I went in Skinny as hell and weak. I was on probation and couldn't get bail because I was on probation and had a detainer. So I was in there for over a year innocent in Philadelphia I was one of the very few white guys there. I just worked out like a monster and I ended up becoming stronger that pretty much everyone on my block. That dedication was a show of strength, plus it made other people follow me and I helped them train. My father was a national weight lifting champion 🏋 so I knew how to train. One guy tried me and I dropped him and he shit himself. After that nobody ever looked at me the wrong way. Make the best of your time bc you are there and there is only so much you can do. 💪✌

One of the best fighters I have ever seen was a really skinny lad who I met in the prison system, and he just cruised through his time in there without any hassles.
Even if you can't fight well, as long as you will fight to hold your own, and not be walked over and become an easy target, regardless of actual fighting ability, size, appearance, or the like, it is unlikely that you will become any type of victim at all.
I am not well versed in the US system, but that is the way of things in the UK and Australia.

Prison is honestly daycare it's an easy way out in life.
Real life is HARD not prison. That's why it's so easy to go back. Everything in prison is basically handed to you, on the outs you have to work hard EVERYDAY for everything. Takes a real man to handle their shit in the real world.

.what he is saying is 100% true. I did 8 years and im 5'6" only 2 fights the whole time and they didnt end too badly for ether of us.. Intelligence is VALUABLE in prison, you got to know how to play politics and become valuable in prison society no man is a island. Help people with thieves cases if they need it, help illiterate guys write letters to relaitves. If you are locked in cells for long periods you can read books and be like a radio show for your cell and the cell across from you. Learn to make things that are valuable to others ect. Prison is mosty a MIND game and lots of politics. You WILL have tp fight to prove that you will fight if pushed.. but just fighting back is enough, even if you lose its still in your credit.
