Ani Choying Drolma remembers her guru Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche - a conversation with Heidi Koppl

Ani Choying Drolma met with Heidi Koppl to remember and answer questions about her guru Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche. She left a difficult home situation to become a nun at Nagi Gompa, the nunnery run by Rinpoche, where she was showered by his kindness, allowed to regain her childhood and to heal her emotional wounds. Over time she discovered her gift as a singer, learned traditional chant styles from both Rinpoche and his incredible wife Kunsang Dechen, and went on to become an international super-star, singing songs of Dharma and kindness toward others. Proceeds from her music help to fund her many humanitarian projects including a hospital, a school for nuns, a preschool, and a scholarship program which supports more than 200 kids for their living and education. I cried listening to Ani Choying Drolma sharing about her dad and how Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche helped her realize the suffering of her dad… and also the part where Anila talked about the hospital and people who did not have good intention. It touched me so much! Thank you for sharing this wonderful video and let us audience have a chance to know Anila through another lense.
