If the most humiliating thing you've ever done is potentially losing a fight to a pro kickboxer at 44, you're doing pretty damn good.
reeeallly good point.
some people are just winners at life LMAO idris is definitely in that category
@@akeilebrown_7111 gtfo 💀
@@akeilebrown_7111 Adris ain’t no winner
@UCt_xibHSpcxeDmnUfe32JbA yeah, he's only a millionaire from acting, what a fucking loser amiright
This is what CM Punk should have done instead of going straight to the big league in UFC. Much respect to Idris for being humble and doing it the proper way.
wutang fo eva
earaza Glory is but this is not glory.
No, because CM Punk didn't want to become a "real" pro fighter, he just wanted to experience what real fighting is like and he wanted the $$$.
wouldn't really call this "the proper way" either. he did one amateur fight, which he lost, and moved straight to pro.
Nakura what are you talking about?! amateur fights don't mean shit in kickboxing. The best lockboxes and Thai fighter have very few amateur fights so I don't know what you're talking about.
much respect to Idris for going out of his element and trying something new
christian broadnax Yeah ur totally right! I love this show and I love the actor
My sentiments exactly.
the fight was staged though..
Art Vandelay ofc it was staged
Zero respect
Who's here because of joe rogan and dave chapelle?
🖐🏾
👍😂
Me
Me
You used to buy weed from idris alba too
Who’s here to see Idris fight after the hot ones interview🤷🏽♀️
lol, got me
lmao HOW DID YOU KNOWWWW
Facts
So here's the real question, did you go back to the hot ones interview after you finished this episode, or did you go to the next episode to see who won the fight? Also, who listened to his intro to the Jay Z song?
I went back to the interview.
Mad propers to my man Idris for taking this challenge. Just because he wanted to, I love it
Jason Carson who won?
His got talent and heart! Respect!
as a hardcore martial arts fan i dont see much talent in fighting, but an amazing actor for sure !
kazkas you're obviously not a serious martial artist he's got potential and he's only been doing it a short amount off time dinlo
i'm not gonna go into argument with you... but talent in martial arts is different thing, Idris did good because he is smart clever and intelligent and those are very important factors in the fight. There aint many talented fighters in the world, most of them just grind to the top thru really hard work and competition in K-1 is really low level compared to MMA or Boxing nowadays, that opponent really no talent
If you don't see much talent in fighting, I highly recommend you to open your eyes. That usually works.
Seems like a cool guy but not much heart for training. Also Im pretty sure the fight was staged...
Mad respect for Idris. You don't see a lot of actors taking it that far...
Mad props to Idris for training and then showing the efforts of that work. Amazing and at his age too, what a surprise!
Win or lose Idris is a BA MOFO!
CZcams two years late! But this is amazing! Congrats to Idris! Incredible respect for you!!!
Props to Idris...Honestly, I think he is very brave.
this is a great episode keep it up Discovery
This guy is inspiring to me. Just cuz he ain’t the best fighter I give him props for even doing this shit. The world must have been on his shoulders for this fight. He went out and did it! Mad Respect
So cool that Elba went out of his way to do this; he has my respect for stepping up to the challenge and training with the right people like Buakaw and Tyrone Spong.
Marvel's use of Elba as Heimdall really highlights the limitations of Marvel's vision. This guy could be a MEGASTAR for Marvel. They cast him as a bit player.
Idris has a huge international fan base across Europe and Africa
@@ingemarsmith4154 For real, they should've made Black Panther an older dude who's more confident and skilled, so he has to face actual villains at the top of their game. Imagine Elba's Panther going toe to toe with Thanos, THIS guy I can believe would slug it out with a God with no fear.
I mean, Marvel has had actors like RDJ, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tilda Swinton, Chiwetel Ejiofor, the 3 Chrises, Samuel L. Jackson, Michael B. Jordan, Josh Brolin, etc. They don't really need much more star power lol.
@@MistaWordz and all that being said, Idris Elba would bring a different character of star to any they currently have. And the point again is that they do have him. He's just woefully underutilized.
If you have not seen his best work my point will probably be lost on you.
@@ingemarsmith4154 I understand what you're saying. I'm just saying that with as many big names as the MCU has, it's hard to utilize all of them to the full potential.
Wow Idris! Sooooo exciting! His blows to your head looked excruciatingly real, and I’m cringing when you are hit, but ecstatic with the outcome! You did it! The last blows to Graves at 7:21 & 7:37 looked just as painful... End of the day…You wiped that bravado off Graves' face! Congratulations Champ!
stringer bell is realy about that life
Idris Elba is f***ing awesome.
idris elba, the only legit actor i know to this date! so as other few. But it takes tremendous balls to step out of your comfort zone and battle with true warriors!!!! Much respect to Idris.
If ever there was a movie made on Thomas Hearns. Idris Elba would be my first choice..
Nah, he looks a lot like Roger Mayweather.
Or Jack Johnson
Facts bro he would kill it as hearns
Hamza Khaliq Yeah but he’s too big to play Mayweather. But his face is perfect for it.
Dylan Morgan Honestly, he’s too big to play Hearns, too. All of the fights that people remember him from were in his middle and welterweight days.
yes if you want , you can , big respect to idris.. im really excited to see the the 4th episode
Mad big up to Idris.
That was a proper fight, no going easy on him at all. RESPECT.
Mad respect to both fighters and for idris it takes alot of heart and guts to step into the ring but it takes more guts to stick to the training and have discipline bravo to all fighters!!
Mad respect for you Idris✊🏾
So much respect for Idris.
Idriss Elba is thoroughly inspiring! I will get my are to work and implement work out routines of interval sprinting, interval running, calisthenics, abs training, ploymetrics, and weight lifting at least three to four times per week for not less than one hour per session over the course of the next four months, and when I've got significantly improved fitness levels especially in terms of endurance, I will then go into kick boxing and boxing heavy bag and focus pads workouts and intense amateur sparing, while periodically interspacing these with the sprints, interval running, calisthenics, ploymetrics, abs et al . And yes, also stretching. I will NEVER miss a leg and abs day again unless I'm sick or flying...
Great Respect for Idis , He comes on stage with everything ! He is really Great . 🙏🤐
Much respect idris kicks are beautiful
Idris Elba EARN my respect even more!
I didn't know anything about this and I live me some Idris.
Even more respect now. Wow.
This guy does it all 🏆
Respect for Idris kickoboksing is no Joke
Nice to see, for a beginner he has good reflexes and instinct that a fighter needs!!! He can take a punch and come back for a counter!!! Good for him, hands up!!!
Respect man nothing but respect way to be the king u are I got so much respect for u as a fighter myself it's take a lot to do what we do ik how u feel you don't play fighting god bless brother ✊🏽
much respect!
What an Inspiration Idris is. Salute!
No other action actor would do this because of their big egos and how much they depend on legend and false bravado.
Much respect for Idris. True man.
Damn, i would love to see this guy as the new James Bond.
Com on he is black he cant bee james bond why ppl dont get it is like u saying u want see di capreo to play konta kinty dame!!!!!!!!
@Morowinger: now there's an idea I can get behind!! And the other reply about he can't do it b/c he's black...pfffft & BS. He'd be outstanding.
Jerome Bond*
@@syper9 james bond is a character. you can make him any color and it wont matter as long as he's true to the character. DiCaprio playing "konta kinty" isn't remotely the same as he was made as a character to be a slave from a long time ago.
@@gabeig7330 English character (white)
He so much an amazing actor, Fighter And respect for what he is doing!. i want to watch this all. after watching Idris go hard on himself, and reached over limit.
Mad respect for Idris ...
Respect to Idris for having a warriors heart to train in a brutal sport like Muay Thai. I know if I had the money to train in Thailand at the age 28 that I am now I'll be there as quick as possible. Many people will say he's too old like seriously this guy has even been on the wire I believe? Since then till now he's been on his A plus game now this? amazing! it's not like Idris is 52 training like this.
Whole new level of respect for that guy
He is looking good!!! Keep it up 💪🏾👍🏾
Idris you got to respect this dude. He is a real G
I'm 26 yo and this guy motivated me alot.. I thought i'm too old to start boxing 🤣
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
I understand the need for fighters to push their limits when training, to develop endurance, mental toughness, and a never say die attitude. But I don't think that you should train a 44 year old with the same sort of intensity and frequency as say a 22 year old pro fighter. Yes, he should push his limits, and train like a pro, but he's going to need more recovery time because he's over 40. Training him like someone in their 20s will most likely result in injuries. Yes, you have to train incredibly hard, but you also have to know your body and train smart. The old school no pain, no gain attitude can be counter productive if it causes an injury.
It's a fine balance, Randy couture would agree with you and he was a champ at 45. He trained a lot less than most fighters for the same reason.
But there's so many variables involved it's very tricky. Especially for someone new to it like Idris. He has to train very hard to catch up in terms of skills and his body. But still not so hard that it drains his body completely. It's really up to the coaches and you need a smart and attentive coach.
Have to say he looked decent here though.
The guy who starts early will retire early, because the weight cuts and head blows will accumulate over wars in the gym and in the ring, That's why those who start early retire early. Some people start at thirties and are still keeping up. From what I see here, his body responds in a good way, and he looks fantastic.
Seb Fox realistically no one needs to train that hard as it provides no real benefit. he knows how to fight he doesnt know how to control his breathing
thats all fine and dandy but the dude has 12 months
chunchoe I heard that his original fight date was pushed back by 4-6 months, because he had to have surgery on a knee injury that he picked up in his first sparring session.
Idris I’m proud of you bro, coming from a pro mma fighter 👍🏿
Brilliant hope he succeeded in kick boxing
S/o to the cameraman for those shots👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾
Wow much respect!!! He is a real fighter
Man, Idris is really brave to go thru this and actually fight. Hats off to him, that requires guts.
Respect brother
Much respect for Idris...i'd like to be his next fight!
I wish I had an ounce of Idris Elba's determination.
Don't underestimate him. That dude fought Kaiju a couple of years back.:D
😆
Respect to Idris Elba, he did his thing!
Huge respect. The balls it takes to even get in there, well done!
and im still watching
Idris you the man respect ✊🏽
Idris Elba is so awesome.
I don't know the result of the fight, but in those clips from later in the round, Elba had some good movement. Decent job of getting rotation on those kicks. Looks like they had some power. Suitably impressed.
He getting the hang of it, he lost
What a line "you can't just walk off whenever you want. This isn't a movie set it's a boxing ring"
Idris Elba's a g-dang beast! As an amateur Muay Thai practicioner myself, I have great respect for anyone who gets in the ring and fights.
Big respect
RESPECT idris bro getting in a ring takes ⚽⚽
Felt really pity for Idris, he looks really tired all the time. you can do it Idris!
Is that his little boy???? He's the cutest!!!
how can u look so.scared and drained before a fight...thumbs up for not calling in sick
Lol, it's so funny to hear his actual accent. Glad for him...good show.
thats buakaw gym!!! YESS!! - where are the full episodes?! :'(

Thabooka was just gonna comment that
Thx! No wonder! I thought that was the whole episode on CZcams.
and the fat guy at the beginning isnt he Badr Hari's trainer? :O
Max Payne mike passeniere yah...he's trained the best
I like Idris. He’s really a good man and dont want to hurt nobody! Even though that’s what hes suppossed to. He see’s it as a sport for him self
Idris Elba got giant heart I respect that
What a LEGEND
Inspirational.
*DAYYUM!* Idris got fight-game, too?!?!?!
Goes to show you are never to old to try something new, take note people.

This man is a badass dude.
Wow Idris Elba true action hero
Idris is a beast
Well done Idris..
Imagine idris take the role of black panther.
Too bad he’s already that Thor character who’s name I forgot

Damn he’s in such good shape for his age. Better than most Americans in their 20-30s...
This guy is my hero
Cool stuff idris is the man 😏
amazing how much weight he lost
It would be great to be able to see Full episodes available in the States!
your loins are on fire for this black man..dont lie.
Brutal. Just the training along is unforgiving.
nah, losing a fight isnt humiliating
You're right, well not always at least, you can still prove your heart in a losing effort
james becker you're right
It's all in the head
I rather watch a match of a loser giving all of his heart than a winner not face any adversaty
It is actually. Maybe not in hindsight, but it's absolutely your last desire after all that work you put in
This my dude!!!
at 45 years old that amazing..
man... I gotta respect idris. dude a real man. like, before we started labeling ourselves alpha and beta. you were just a *REAL MAN*
I’m here from HOT ONES 😂🤦🏾♂️
What a guy!
Daaaaamn. Idris looked real old next to that little baby. Good thing he won.
