By far the best aspect of this game was its music. Jesper Kyd and Sarah Schachner together is just wizardry.

There are many hating on the game. Say what you want but ubisoft really nails every soundtrack they make. I also never thought Einar Selvik would participate in making music for a game. It blew me off when i heard his tunes
this game is the 2nd best selling game in the history of Ubisoft...not AC...Ubisoft...in 12 months...those hating are sad the franchise thrived without them playing and buying AC games. To the tune of a billion in revenue. Let them cope and seethe.

the historical gameplay is good but the most frustration comes from the main story with the bs eliminated the main character in the modern day after 2-3 title game. I mean the more they did that the more twisted plot hole born from it.

@@ALTAI38 I tend to agree Valhalla has been brilliant especially with the TV show Vikings, but then I found stuff to love (and stuff to hate) in every one of them.
Sure there were things in every AC that were stupid, annoying or ridiculous. At times the character dialog was so damn hopeless it was embarrassing, but then I wrote that off as the Animus filling details as best it could. I see each story as a pile of fragments the player has to put together into a narrative that makes sense with those fragments - what we call synchronization. The side stuff is just the Animus filling in gaps.
I'm an Australian who did aerospace engineering in America. Plus my mother was a teacher who loved history. So I knew more than the average person about the Renaissance, Victorian England and the French Revolution. I know my American friends would hate the Canadian take on several of their founding fathers, but I loved it. By accident I did 3 classes in Classical Civilisation as one of my 2 humanities sequences that included Greek & Roman mythology and Greek History. So for me Odyssey was just awesome.
I loved the series Black Sails so Black flag is like playing one of those characters.
I loved the series Vikings so Valhalla is just awesome.
Favourite moments punching, kicking and kneeing the crud out of Rodrigo Borgia and then throwing his shite of a son of the top of a Spanish castle before bonking a contessa to seal an alliance never gets tiring.
valhalla is so underrated. I really think after playing every ac that it actually is one of the best for many reasons.

I wish they had polished the graphics when it comes to characters movement and animations, but I really like it, too. Actually playing it through a second time to change some of the choices I made.

As a game where stealth and assassins is the aim, the game isnt amazing. As a viking game thats actually incredibly fun, has engaging combat, awesome customization, a beautiful world with amazing music: it excels
Eivor did mention "i don't like how assassin's should conceal themselves" which is funny
If you go According to the lore then it does make sense. The prequels (Odyssey, origins and Valhol) are moving towards the origin of Assassins

This is easily one of the best soundtracks I have ever listened to. It makes me feel a lot of things at the same time, and helps me write a lot. Not many may like Eivor's story, but Valhalla is one of my favorite AC games to date along with Odyssey and the Ezio Collection.

Ubisoft does do great with its soundtracks heck of making games doesnt pan out they may just have a shot in the music industry
They blended alot of the AC lore with Norse Mythology well.

For all the bad design choices this game has, the music in Valhalla is one of the best. Playing this in the background while playing Valheim is such a mood.

Valhalla the best Creed game ever made! altough they should maded the guy more buffed the female version is same body size as the guy! but the lore behind all of those DLCs are amazing, this game is gorgeous and beautiful even in Combat! this is the only game in the world that let you have 2 shields one on each hand and play as *The Wall*

regardless of personal style and tastes of setting, what Ubisoft have done with all the A.C. titles is a completely in-depth, imaginative, thoughtful and emersive experience.
as far as i'm concerned A.C. stands alone and wears the crown for gaming. salutè to those warriors out there that have the heart and soul of the assassin.

Kingdom of Wessex song makes you sleep and travels you to the assassin's destinies and journeys and seeing the true light from the beautiful mountains and forests of the pretty world,opening your heart and making you unstoppable. I love these songs so much ❤️❤️❤️

I agree. Imma walker in games. I rarely fast travel and I walk, even on a horse I’ll walk. Taking this game and the dlcs slowly was mesmerising. It’s a beautiful aesthetic across the board and the combat is so satisfying. Imma a huge fan of the games. Ubisoft make beautiful games and this one was a real DnD esque immersion. Just adventure slowly in vallhalla and it’s awesome.

AC Valhalla might not be the best AC game but it has the second-best soundtracks after AC Origins. AC Odyssey is on the top 3 list as well. 1. Origins, 2. Valhalla, 3. Odyssey
I decided to play Valhalla again with my rtx 4090. It runs smooth at 8k with FSR Quality max settings 60fps+ everything is so detailed
awesome game, but ending is a bit mixed. But really enjoy the horse/hound riding - spend most time riding the 9x9 km map and game bg/soundtrack music is just tops!

I love this music. This particular video is waaaay compressed and normalized at loudness so it's kinda missing most of the notational and instrumental depth this soundtrack has. Good mix nonetheless.

Valhalla quickly became one of my favorite AC games
I am really enjoying the game, playing on gamepass. I do not know why it's popular to not like it and I do not want to know this time, I'm having a great time.
Maybe consider not paying full price on the game (on release), it raises expectations, if you pay that much money it's almost like you're getting married to the game "I expect this to be life changing". I'm speaking as a person who lives in a country where we get 1000 bucks as salary and a game is 250-500 bucks on release (Brasil), the prices are insane fyi.

I think Mirage is better AC game than Valhalla but this soudtrack... sweet Jesus, Odin and Allah... it is the best soundtrack of any AC game EVER!
Game is worth it for the 10/20 hours of it or somewhere there where the main story actually plays the main role. The other 80 hours of filler content for those two hours at the end aren't just worth it.
