Summary: In The Woolpack, Aaron tells Hazel that he's seen the diary. She snaps at him for prying but he urges her to listen. Hazel refuses to discuss this, but Aaron begs her to at least watch the diaries herself and she reluctantly agrees. Later, Aaron and Jackson return home just as Hazel is replacing the laptop. Hazel pretends to be upbeat but a look passes between her and Aaron and it's clear their secret is going to be a heavy one to bear...
Breaks my heart to hear Jax say he wants to die. Hazel and Aaron having a heavy and serious talk is heartbreaking.

Jo's a great carer - dark humour / one liners - he fits in so well with the great 3 Hazel/Aaron/Jackson - love these 4. Watching in 2017, new to Emm.
OMG!..This soap is full of suspence..I have never watched one like this before....Aaron is really a sweet guy...I'm feeling for him..He's in pain and Jackson doesn't realise that. This is soo passionate....God help Aaron.

After so many years I am watching it again, I can’t stop crying again, it’s just so sad.
So sad watching these two clips again, for obvious reasons, yes, but also to see how emotionally mature Aaron had become during this time, only to see him now taking a major step back with that waste of space Robert. I'm so looking forward to his growth in 2015!

Brilliant acting. How ANYBODY can say this is waste of talented actors doesn't understand what acting is all about . This isn't a documentary or a reality show, this is DRAMA. As depressing as it is, it is amazing to see two young men knock it out every damn time. This storyline should be required watching for every soap producer in the USA, so they can see how its done. No gangsters or billionaires fighting it out on sets that look like an 8th grade class play. BRAVO.

I can't imagine being in this scenario. I know it must be hard for them all and I think it's very sweet that Aaron is so concerned for Jackson. Why wouldn't he be though really? I'm interested in where this is headed (don't tell me) and glad to be seeing so much of our boys! I get so anxious every time i watch this. Waiting patiently for something big to happen!! Eeee ...
How can Jackson feel hungry when he can’t feel his body?
The story is at a high point in grabbing our guts & squeezing our hearts. Surely no one is complaining anymore about the pace or lack of kissing. A few episodes back we didn't seem to be going anywhere, & now we're distressed at where we may be headed. I feel like I need to cry some more, but I can't.
I'm afraid Hazel left Jackson's laptop on, & he'll find out that they've watched his diary. And where will that lead?
Crying again. Need to go for a walk. Grateful that I can.

so emotional. has anyone read the digital spy interview with emmerdale's executive producer? he said that the current A/J storyline opens up more and there's gonna be more drama, yet some heartwarming stuff (so hopefully, more affection!) Well done to Danny and Marc on their acting in this episode! Also, I think Aaron told Hazel because she is his Mum and has a right to know and they're the only two that can help him. x x
So sad that Aaron wants to make Jackson happy and he can't. He's trying so hard. Jackson knows he loves him but he feels he's holding him back. They aren't like they were before. Love should be enough but he feels he's not enough
The worst thing they could possibly do in this situation is not confront Jackson about it. It'll be painfully, but it would actually start him on the path towards help.
Okay, to those in the comments saying they shouldn't of invaded his privacy. in 2015 my friend noticed I was depressed and read my diary and realized I was suicidal. She called my mum who then went through my computer and found my suicide note. They called the police when they couldn't find me and when I came home they talked with me and took me to the hospital to speak with a psychologist and that evening I was admitted to the psych ward. She saved my life. They all did. I completely agree that spying on your loved ones is wrong BUT!!! If you recognize signs of depression or suspect someone you love is suicidal then I think reading the diary to find out for sure isn't the same thing as just invading someone's privacy because you don't trust them. Aaron had a gut feeling that something was seriously wrong and he was right. Sometimes you have to trust your gut if it means you could save your loved one's life.
But the difference is Jackson did not change his mind

Is it just me or in the real world, if some1 had just learned something like this about their loved 1 (not judging the morality of how that info was obtained), that some1 would've jumped & hugged, & kissed & touched their loved 1 with all their heart & strength at the first opportunity after learning such news. But of course, in a soap where hugs & kisses & touches & love expressions in general were rarely present between these 2 in the good times, it's hard 2 expect it would in the "bad" times!

@frozenbaby2004 i think thats what we were all expecting and why i think that scene was actually really gd. They went along a more realistic line rather than the usual soap thing of taking things way to far. I mean if i was in aaron's situation i prob wouldnt have said 'i love him' to his mother i would have tried to help of course but i believe the way they did it was actually quite realistic, but i can see where ur coming from
@patroclus33 I don't think you can really point the finger for this "breach of privacy" until you're in a very similar scenario. Plus, it's understandable that Aaron has a hard time communicating ... and might resort to the very strong temptation of looking at an open laptop.
@art03nw I don't think so. Aaron and Hazel are usually going at it with each other and Hazel has not been his biggest fan. She only puts up with him because she knows Jackson loves him. And Aaron and Chas are becoming more and more close. This instance has been uncommon as of late.
@membrainiac How would you confront him about it? This is like an invasion of privacy. I wouldn't know how to bring the subject up

JESUS - HOW FUCKIN' HARD IS THIS? Stop HALF-STEPPIN'. Aaron - reaffirm you love him. Pick him up, HOLD HIM. We all saw how you laughed and CRIED watching the man you love describing his feelings. GROW some fuckin' balls and show him that you WANT him. You've told him - NOW SHOW HIM that you want him as he IS. That you meant you want to be there
LOVE is what works miracles. He's NOT gonna break. Pick him up - put him to bed and hold him all FRIGGIN night. That is ALL the therapy he needs!

Interesting no one has commented on what Aaron and Hazel have actually done. Well, here goes. Don't do it. Don't ever give way to the temptation to have a look at the contents of your lover's (or anyone else's) diary, letters, emails. There are many more opportunities nowadays, all around us. So - ignore them, pass them by. In Soapland, sure, people do this sort of thing every day. It creates or adds to the "drama". But out here in The Real World - don't do it.
@wphansen3 OMG, how true. I clicked past a rerun of DOOL the other night. Same old actors, some old tired storylines and my God... Stephano back from the dead for the 400th time. How truly sad. You Britts should thank your lucky stars that you still have some good "telly" on.

@Boslthrman I don´t have a problem with the writting neither! Just tell me one soap that does it better than this. If it weren´t for all these storylines we wouldn´t have seen that superb acting

@beautifullion69 Blackpool. The interesting part is the look on Jackson's face after Aaron invites him to go to Blackpool for the fruit machines (UK slang for slot machines). I think that, like myself, Jackson was trying to figure out if Aaron was being funny or if he was momentarily clueless!
@patroclus33 Some people go through denial. I'm sure those around him keep telling themselves "he'll get better". It's hard to step up and take action when you are afraid to confront someone - especially someone in a situation like Jackson

my previous comment relates 2 what I think Aaron should have done @ 3:10 & Hazel @ 10:15. I'm just saying, it would've felt more real, because regardless if they are trying 2 keep it a secret from J now, most people wouldn't have been able 2 hold their anguish in...I guess I'm still complaining a bit about the lack of physical interaction between these 2. IMO, it still seems a bit unreal, but since we know ED is a bit shy on the kissing how about A just caressing J's head every once in a while?
I have so many issues with Aaron and his selfish behavior. He shouldn't have watched Jackson's diary and he defiantly shouldn't have pushed Jackson's mum to do the same. Not only is that Jackson's private business (which everyone deserves), but it is also a breach of trust.
@violub Aaron's going mad with this news. I think he's a little flustered and would find it odd if he acted normal (or affectional).

@patroclus33 Okay ... I hear ya now. Yeah, there are probably going to be some less-than-desirable consequences for their action. But I definitely see why Aaron felt he needed to - even though I don't know that I would tell someone to do the same. It's a tough position to be in and I'm glad I'm not in it!

U'd think the writers would b tryin to show people in jacksons situation that it isnt the end of the world and that u can still live a normal life not wanting to kill urself and then a couple of months l8r he actually does :(

Why must Hazel do all the "watching" over Jackson. As Jackson's lover, Aaron's needs to step up his involvement and watch over Jackson too. How about hugging him and kissing him more, as lovers actually do. Give Jackson more reasons to want to live.
This is not a story, is just a B/S, i watch Aaron story to 192, this B/S story is just a games , like a DRUG i hate to watch. is not like Christian and Oliver or Max an Iago this two is love story, no Aaron story (HELLOOOOO STORY)
