- I take the brand new Vitus Mythique out for a spin! This bike has undergone a massive upgrade from its previous version and I was blown away by how well it rode and how fast it was.
I’ll show you all the specs, test it out on different trails and give my first impressions. If you're in the market for a new mountain bike or just love gear, this is a video you won't want to miss.

Thank you for this video! I live in Canada and I have been choosing bike for last few months with so many deals it was cool. But I will be getting my vitus next week, thanks to your input as well! Thank you:)
Gahhhhh I was waiting for you to drop this! THANK YOU! I'm gonna pull the trigger in about 2 months, saving up for it right now. Half way there! 🙌🏽
Awesome - if you need any further help ,just let me know :) happy to help
@@wolfpack_adventures Would love to see a couple more videos with your opinion on this bike!
A great platform, but very trail-oriented as OEM.
The Z2s are fine, but smash them about and you’ll quickly find that CSU creak sets in and within a year the bushings go.
You’ll probably be onto Fox 36s or even a Z1 long before that in any case!
Looks really sick!
Nice ride mate,.. I love the colour,.,. stay safe,. enjoy your ride
Thanks! The colour is unreal in person - really is nice
love vitus bike.my dream bike also
that's a great frame, I almost picked up the sommet
Just ordered a VRX and really excited. What front fender are you running on your bike in the video?
I ordered the vrs last Friday. It says it should be coming today 30th May. honestly can't wait 😂😂
I tried flats again myself with proper shoes and hated it. Went back to using Clipless.
just bought this bike. When it arrives I will review it. seems pretty cool
Looking forward to your review! Just ordered mine yesterday too, can't wait!
Great vid as always Alex. I'm thinking about to get this bike or the Escarpe CR, which one would be your weapon of choice? Cheers
Glad you liked the video - what would you want to ride the majority of the time?
Local trails mainly and the occasional red/black and off piste trails at Glentress. Would love to try Innerleithen too.
Good video. Can I ask, did the bike come with the down tube protector? I’ve just bought the vrx and wondered if it came with that. Cheers
Yes. I have the VRX and it came with down tube protection.
@@curtiswatkins2219 thanks man. Been out and it’s excellent. Climbs better than hard tail lol
Is the v2 not available in the us? It’s not on there website.
We'd love another update. I'm about to buy one of these and I keep going back and forth between the VRX and the AMP. Do you feel the brakes need to be upgraded to 4 pots?
I didn’t even bother breaking in the new brakes. Installed the SLX 4 pot and love it!
I'm hoping that Chain Reaction Cycles replace my 18 month old mythique VRX, with a badly cracked frame, with this year's model. The 23 frame looks much better. Just need the CRC warranty department to get a move on...
That is a bad ass bike ., and the color is awesome. I would have put yellow pedals and grips.
But it beautiful.
Fair enough! Yellow and green isn't my thing :)
Is this a 27.5?
Great video thanks! Brilliant to see what the bike is capable of. Do you have any input on sizing? I know it’s subjective but Ive got an XL in the basket ready to order, confident at 6ft3 it’s the one, just wondered if you had any wisdom on the matter. Thanks!
Hey James - in the vid I ran a Large - felt nice to me.
Had ample room in the cockpit area - but not too much.
In the past I’ve ridden bikes with too longer reach, and it’s less than optimal for an all round ride - just ends up feeling like you’re trying to manoeuvre a barge!
For reference I’m just over 6ft, so maybe you going a size up could be a good shout
Any help - let me know.
Thanks for the input!
Yeah I hear you on that - everything since my last bike seems to have gotten longer. My old bike in terms of geo (which I loved) for example was bang middle of the L & XL mythique, so either way I’m going to have to try less/more reach. I’ll go with my gut and stick with the XL. Pretty stoked to try it!
Just thought I would circle back - first ride today on the new bike, video was spot on! Brakes are the only real weak point for me. Size wise glad I went XL. Could have happily rode a L but I think it would have been too cramped seated pedalling, especially up hill. Overall chuffed!
why the move to maxxis when the schwalbe were so good i have them on my mythique wouldnt use anything else
Fair enough - this bike came with Maxxis so that’s what I tested the bike with 🤘
Weight??
Where’s this Alex? Thanks
Various trails around Innerleithen
@@wolfpack_adventures it was the first 2 trails I didn’t recognise and couldn’t quite work the the location out.
Wow your trail is sick narrower.,if the bars any wider you might not get through.
It's tight in Innerleithen!
