Mine fell off in my hand first day washing the bike. Harley should do the right thing and give every purchaser a new slightly modified ring. Note: The rotory motion you cleaning it releases it so it falls off. Fix it or lose it!

Yep, 100% correct. The ring on the light is very loose. Needs fixing!
Thinking outside the box when upgrading or fixing design flaws is a must...especially when dealing with a 1st year Model Bike
My head light ring fell out as they delivered it and then I lost it up the motorway 🤯🖕one way AOA England 🏴
Put the smallest dab of liquid gasket maker on the tabs of the headlamp ring. Gasket maker will hold the headlight ring in place, but allow easy removal, and will “peel” off the tabs without damaging them.

He fixed it with double sided tape. No need for liquid gasket maker.

I think that issue has been fixed, the original part number for that ring has been replaced. So hopefully that fixes it.

The cure for the headlight finish ring debacle is up grade the headlight to "Baja Lp6" ! At $759.00 you get an extreme led front head lamp that really looks cool and eliminates that dumb ring that falls off. Of course it's not cheap but it's twice the lamp! It does require the disassembly of the front fairing. And cutting the mounting tabs to get rid of the ring.
Lost the ring on mine the first week. Harley replaced under warranty. fixed mine with 3 small dabs of black silicon on the 3 tabs on the ring. Still comes off easy when you need it to come off.

We talk and i told him about the Ring problem and he looked at me as i cam from outer space 😅
The i went 2 the show room and took a few rings fromm several st`s and told him the problem
He didn`t know anything about it.

They always act like ti's the first time they have heard of anything. Wait till your plastic clutch cable assembly breaks and they say I've never heard of that known issue before.

Good to know ,Got my2022 FXLRST about 2 weeks ago so far I have installed fuel moto jackpot Riot exhaust, ODI Hart Luck grips, and VH FP-4 tuner. This bike is spectacular but not without its flaws as u pointed out. Riser bushings need torquing down otherwise handlebars and risers are off center, little plastic wind deflector thing spun sideways, front forks need cartridges, too soft, rear suspension is a huge upgrade from 2020-2021 lowrider s, I will probably leave for now. My 114 2021 streetglide special that I traded seemed ato have a little more torque, I suspect gearing is different. All in all I love it and wouldn’t go back to street or Roadglide. Like every other Harley I have owned, there are a ton of upgrades that makes a stock HD into a true road warrior.

No way that ring was run over by several cars. Btw, every thing you need for a Harley is basically backordered. Seems like Harley Stores today only have ballon’s, hotdogs and blues bands to offer

Yep mine is gone also...hung on from Maryland to Sturgis and back (+~4,100 miles) then went missing a couple hundred miles later. Replacement is cheap, but out of stock on HD website. I'm riding MadMax naked up front. : (

A couple dabs of RC car tire glue on the tabs and its good … seems secure will check it and see if it holds up. Dont want it stuck on Permanently but definitely don’t want it to fall off saying how you can’t replace it right now with everything back ordered

Good information, but I've always had a problem with my phone over heating in direct sunlight, that's why I don't use handlebar mounts. Have you figured out a way to keep your phone from overheating?

Yeap - I lost mine and I ordered a new one from HD - 9 dollar part. I knew it was loose and I lost it on the road before I could get back to the barn. It's on order and I may see it sometime ????????????? Great tips btw - I'm in upstate NY - we might hook up sometime next summer..

Terrible stand also. Two hundred miles and stand collapsed tipping bike. Soundless and passionless. Cool looking handles great.
I've had 3 new Softails in the past 3 years and never had a problem with the stand. I ride about 7k miles a year.
