The Galaxy S24 Ultra is in many ways a perfect smartphone in 2024. One thing that I would like to see improved in the next iteration is the charging speed on both wired and wireless, which has been stagnant for many years at this point.
Not perfect yet. The screen isn't fully flat yet still curve around the edges. Still can't put full tempered glass screen protector.
@@ctgaming168bro wants an iphone
Yeah I went with the plus over the ultra for the better viewing angles. The ultra looks like cheap polarized sunglasses if you tilt it even a tiny bit in your hand. The whole thing turns green! It's also at least $300 more expensive than it should be.
also 1" main cam sensor
I'd take slower charge speeds over battery degradation any day. If you want to own a phone for 3-4 years you need to mollycoddle that cell.
I upgraded from Note 10 to s24 not expecting this much of difference but s24 ultra is a beast phone through and through
Me too. After 4 years with my Note 10+, today I bought an S24 Ultra. Note10+ was the best device I had (I've had cell phones since 1999, my title for best device until then belonged to the Lumia 1520), now it will be stored away. Battery is still perfect, no marks on the screen or body. Go to retirement with merit.
I am reading through comments with s 24 ultra on my table while commenting from note 8. I am both: excited and scared of what's gonna change. I was using note 8 for 6 years, have to switch only because my bank app needs at least android 11. I get panic attack from thinking of all the passwords and notes I made in these 6 years...how I will ever get to migrate and not forgett anything.
Holy shit, Will. Please leave some gains for the rest of us.
na he needs it to do all the speed tests
I was like dmn who broke my man's heart 😮
Fr dude looks absolutely yoked
he's jacked up now
man is absolutely henched wtf happened
Had the black 512gb s24 Ultra for a month always been a android user since s2. Always liked samsung even when iphone had better features just always preferred samsung as a phone and will continue but love apple as I purchased ipod and macbook pro as main computers.
I can't recall when Apple ever had any better features than Android but that's wishful thinking
4k 30fps video from main camera was fantastic 😍❤ great details 😊
Love the T shirt, good to see that you've got a sense of humour 👍🏼🤣 Pretty good review too!
I have the S23U but I don't feel the need to upgrade because in daily life you really don't notice that much the foto qualities and speed difference. Great review thanks for that! Greetings from the Netherlands!
I have been eagerly anticipating this evaluation.
I'm actually glad that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra had a flat screen and i don't hate curved displays, but i preferred a flat display.
I wish the S24 Ultra IP68 rating could survive upto 3m of depth of water. And the phone is a bit too pricey. Btw, i hope that next year's S25 Ultra 5x periscope telephoto cam has a 120mm focal length.
The phone is fine in 3m of water, I've taken it to the bottom of a 15ft pool and it's all good
Genuinely, what are you doing with a phone that needs it to be 3 meters deep underwater
@@theymon in case you drop your phone in a pool/lake/river/seashore with a depth of 3 meters.
@@theymonlol it's not like they intentionally dropping it. It's about peace of mind
I was at the bottom of a diving pool filming divers water entry for training.
I understand their an update fix for the Vivid setting to obviously be more VIVID .Remember the screen has the Anti Glare effect so the screen is appears darker. That would be effected by a screen protector. The Anti Glare feature appears to be forgotten by Samsung wich it ironically is not promoted???🤔Note to future proof your phone if possible get the 512gb or 1Terebyte Version. This will increase the resale value. Plus add a motivation for buying. I am using the S22 Ultra 512 version. At the time the seller upgraded to the S23 Ultra and was moving to each new iteration as part of his job. So I got the S22 Ultra a year ago on Ebay for $430 What a surprise. Good Timing 😎 Good Video 😎
GSMArena really taking the time on this one 👏🏻
Great review,I'm enjoying my S24 Ultra.
The intro is another level! Great job 👍
Great review!!!!❤
Very good review. Great job 👍🏼❤
👏 for 9.9x picture quality, I totally agree it looks way more attractive to me.
Great insightful video
Excellent and detailed review. Much appreciated 👍.
I just got this Phone three days ago in Titan Violet and i love it
And i am jealous of you 😂

Violet really ? Couldn't have gotten a better color ?? The violet looks ugly with the grey frame 😭
@@king-_-arroow9239 i actually think that the Violet one looks the best
USING S series since Galaxy S2... now using s24 ultra... best phone ver ...
bro really got jacked and thought we wouldn't notice.
Wasnt he always like that?
nice intro by the way👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Superb review sir. Please make a Battery drain test of S23 Ultra vs S24 Ultra vs 15 Pro max
Very nice review, S24 Ultra is highly enjoyable flagship model. Absolute unit of a smartphone 💯
GSMArena is always BEST❤❤❤❤❤
As a Samsung Employee, I can assure you this is best review of S24 Ultra on the Internet.
You mean at the store 👀
@@Origin_unkn0wn I work as PCM at Samsung USA.
@@rahul77j sorry was just trying to poke fun. Great position by the way. I hope they give you a discount on new phones 😅
@@Origin_unkn0wn Trust me they do. Even for the customers too.
Any connectivity issues with this on? I have the 23 ultra and it has trouble staying connected to wifi. While all my other devices have 0 issues. Apparently, it was a huge issue with ultras.
Hey, I noticed that the 5x zoom with 12 megapixels takes better pictures than when you switch to 5x zoom with 50 megapixels.
Having more than one if these phones I will have to say the 12mp is better ..as I believe thats its native resolution..12mp sensors ...then you can splice ans divide up the mp all you want ...but these native 12mp... you can call it down scaled but I believe its actually upscale to 50 and 200..any time you zoom its 12mp..use open camera app its 12mp..portrait mode .12mp
Its all 12mp unless in certain modes that I believe its more like upscaling and creating a large file size 🤷
I shot all day with it today and portrait mode ans its native 12mp was some of the better pics
Great video as always! I know that the specs saying different but in your lab tests the iPhone display was brighter right?
That's not enough to cope with he fact it's an iPhone
I really like GSM Arena especially this dud 3>
Great video
Galaxy Note 24 Ultra review let's go.
This intro is amazing
In the black version. Look at 30-45 degrees on the tiny rings from the camera behind in a close-up view. There are users with paint defects like peeling on those tiny rings?
I really hope the new image processing would also be coming to S23U for the 6.1 update. The over-sharpening is too muchhhhh
It wont lol, they want to make you switch, if they improve older phone whats the point to buy their newer phone
It still surprises me how samsung can add a pen and still make a phone water resistant this is to show the removal of headphone jack is just a marketing scheme for their Buds
You've only just realised? 😂
5x Lens is 50MP correct? Also in Expert RAAW you can change the primary lens to shoot at 24MP and it's 2x the detail. In Camera Assistant you can also change the Auto Lens setting. Why do reviewers leave the fine details out?
Yep, 5x is 50 MP and a larger sensor than the old 10x. That's why the crop to 10x still works OK.
The weird issue is that the 3x camera is pretty low resolution in comparison. That's where Samsung should focus their camera upgrades on.
I have the S23U. Is upgrading to the S24U really worth the ~$675 it would cost me if I did a trade in? Seems kind of steep to me...$300-350 and i would probably be doing it. What do u guys think?
May I ask what is the background music at the beginning of the video🤣
Where's the Oppo Find X7 Ultra review? It's been well over a month
Funny how Samsung and Apple have the best camera phones but when it comes to artsy photoshoots, many prefer falling back to Google and Sony phones.
confused ...should i go for s24ultra or any of foldable or any other companies flagship.?opinion who have recently switched to new phone ..and plz android not iphone ..
S24 ultra is one of the best android flagships out there now. 7 years of OS and security updates means it even beats Apple's support. But it isn't cheap, and Samsung's (and Androids) tend to depreciate fast, if you're someone who changes phones every 2 or 3 years, this may matter for you. If it were me, I'd avoid foldables for now as the tech is still maturing (You're paying more but still receive inferior specs in comparison to a similar flagship ; battery size, camera, screen quality etc) but in time it's bound to improve. For some context, foldables from China have pretty cool specs (Oppo, OnePlus, Honor etc) but I'd revisit foldables in 2 - 3 years once the hardware improves.
Last thing to note, if you can get the s24 ultra, look around for deals. Currently, in my country, Samsung is offering 2x storage (256GB - 512GB) for no extra charge + a free pair of Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro + free 25W power adapter and a 20% discount on Samsung Care+. But ordering directly from Samsung (online) is currently not advised as there is a significant delay in receiving your product (whereas physical stores or other retailers have ready stock)
Some official distributors here offer stronger discounts + more freebies, so shop around for the best deal first.
TL;DR : get the s24 ultra if you can afford it. The best android to buy in 2024. Avoid foldables for now. Look around for the best deal and check for physical stock.
Don't go for foldables they barely last long. The S24 Ultra is the best one you could get now.
To be honest, the audio test is useless as it depends on the quality of the phone or laptop of the viewer.
my dream phone!
gotta study hard to be able to afford one in thee future
love the shirt
I'm waiting on my new s24 ultra in the mail. Going from a barely functional s7 to this is going to be nice.
2:30 don't understand why the refresh rate only can go down to 24hz instead of 1hz when the screen is static, even in Always on display mode.
🎉🎉🎉 a really great phone
oh wow just realized you live in Sofia, i was like wait a minute... that cathedral looks familiar to me 😅
Just ordered S24 ultra with delivery on Monday,
What's your take on it ?
@KhingTut-ew8nz I have been with Samsung for decades and this is indeed the best phone in the market so far, I have compared it with my wife's iPhone and truly this phone tops it all
@andrewsowusu1986 ok, thanks for the timely reply , I was contemplating between the s24 plus vs s24 ultra. Seems like I may go with the ultra 😃
Oh well
Is it worth it
Nice.
Amazing phone this is the phone of the year already even though the phone is expensive but who cares this phone is the perfect flagship phone ever yet it is similar to the s23 ultra i upgraded from budget phone to this beast and this is the best upgrade ever especially the cameras the battery life the screen quality and the amazing samsung features overall its a wonderful smartphone
weeks behind - love u no matter.
@GSMArenaOfficial
S24U is generally good phone but after your reviews which I saw - I concludes that Vivo X100 Pro is overall better than S24U. Cameras, battery, diaplay - it's for X100 Pro.
Am I right?
where u get no support no updates..😮
@@louisvario1087 why do you think that? X100 pro had update to 4k front camera and for sure will have update to android 15 and 16
To me, if I'm going to pay extra for a phone upgrade, there has to be significant improvement in the camera. I had both the S24 Ultra and was to trade in my S22 Ultra. S24 Ultra didn't provide me with significant improvement in the camera, and at long distant shots, it was actually worse. Shipped it back a few days ago and will be looking for a used S23 Ultra.
In this color it reminds me of lumia 925, which I think a good size phone. I can't believe it almost a cm shorter than iphone 7, and full 2cm shorter than my current phone
The background sounds track name?
I have no idea😅
Where is the light for the video selfie????
Love Samsung
Ayo,when did you become so jacked? Absolutely loving it brother 🔥
I think u will wait for update because Samsung announced update for camera improvement and display vividness
And even better, an update will be coming this month to address some display and camera issues which will be much better
Kinda feels like the s23u will get a lot of those better camera features with a software update. As most are algorithm based.
I hope they move from small sensors on cameras.
Best smartphone ❤
Just upgraded from my note 10+ which i have loved but im excited to get my new s24 ultra in the mail tomorrow.
Im glad they got rid of the cureved screen i felt like my note was more fragile because of it.
I love Android, especially Samsung. I've been considering getting a new phone, but there's a complete deal breaker for me: I've never been able to get voice commands to work using the Gboard keyboard. Since I dislike the other keyboards available on Android, I don't really have a solution.
I've always stuck with iPhone because of this issue. The voice command on iPhone may not be the best-neither as fast nor as effective as on Android-but at least it works.
If anyone has a solution that works, I'd be ready to switch back to Android, because the Galaxy S24 Ultra is really tempting me.
The only Android phone where I find that voice commands work right out of the box is on Google's Pixels. The problem is that I don't necessarily want a Pixel; I generally prefer Samsung, especially their high-end models.
It not only allows me to write much faster to many different people, but I am also disabled, so it's much less exhausting for me to speak than to type long texts by hand
The only thing is that is the 4th time u covered the s24 series which aren t even an upgrade.
Good review but Why do your camera review looks bad..what is the format of the camera..and when shooting video make sure you have different samples not the overview of the city it looks grainy .shoot videos of something a 4 metres away atmost
I'm pretty sure the new glass is only on the front not the back
Wow 7years software updates 😮
4:59 Show us how you your battery tests. Start with 15 Pro max vs S24Ultra
Nubia Z60 Ultra is a tough challenger... Samsung needs to tap that "notchless" flagship market 😌
Price ?
i think more channels should be calling manufacturers out on their titanium claims. The frame of the S24 has 7.2g of grade 2 Titanium, barely worth mentioning.
Grade 2 is pure titanium.
So, how is it any less valid?
just as strong.. titanium is very strong but a little soft being from a Mt bike era they tried every material under the sun.. found ti was better used 4 road bikes since had no suspension.. ti has a soft ride character.. but aluminum can be mixed with other elements coming close 2 strength of ti.. & be much lighter.. ti is not lighter then aluminum
It's amazing how the Snapdragon 8G3 is both more powerful and more efficient than the Exynos 2400. Shame on Samsung for trying to push their leftover chips on us.
Hey there, Initially i nearly bought s24+ exynos due to better form factor but went for 24Ultra just for SD3 chip. I wonder if I made good decision? And I heard exynos 2400 will start having problems after 1 year of usage?
You definitely made the right decision, you can see in the video and on their site that the Sd8G3 (S24 Ultra) is much better than the Exynos (S24+).
@srosner0 you would not even be able to tell any difference, come on.
Great phone
Hello, I needed a replacement phone for my note10+. The s24 ultra is a great machine.
It's the most rugged phone I've ever owned, and that's saying a lot.
There's a brutal learning curve. One could literally take a university course on how to operate the dam thing. Bonus, every update can absolutely change how the phone operates. Add the issues of people in other countries don't (eg) nessaraly ( necessarily )cater to Americans or even improve anything useful. All one can think is how in the fk is it ultra expensive and still have a barely improved operating system. It's almost as if the engineers simply added onto the existing OS.
In short, nothing that was an issue in the note 10+ is addressed and then there looks as if a bunch of irritating extra crap was added to impose on one privacy as if a third party wants health, finance and driving information.
SAMSUNG needs to do a lot more to catch up VIVO X100 PRO.
This phone is my favorite phone
How many camera do they need
At least six and none compete with iPhone video cuz iPhone doesn't lag all the time kek
I’m watching this video on my iPhone 15 Pro Max Titanium Blue 1TB
And I’m enjoying it 😂
I traded my S22 for the S24 Ultra. Thrilled with my new toy
4k at 120fps then it should also record 1080p at 480fps easily.
Cool phone 😎
I've read the written review and you guys stated that the brightness isn't that high and lower than iphone 15 Pro Max but I've seen videos on CZcams which showed that that the display was better visible than iphone 15 Pro in daylight. Maybe there quality differences between units or its because of the anti reflective coating.
The anti-glare layer affects brightness. I have tested this, and on a sunny day yesterday, I only got 1-hour SOT per 10% using the navigation on auto-brightness. It was worse than my S23U in similar circumstances. So, I assume the max brightness may be technically higher, but the anti-glare layer dulls it. I think Samsung made a mistake with this choice, but I will revisit after the upcoming update has landed.
Are these phones locked to a carrier?
Xiaomi 14 series review please
Watching on on my s23+😆😆😆😆

Someone has to say it "the intro was 🔥"

Great review, but I don't understand one thing. Why don't you at least mention the AI features, which are their unique selling point? (Features like circle to search, summarize, AI integrated into notes, and the Samsung keyboard are really cool.) There's a lot of refinement needed, but why no appreciation for actually bringing innovation to the boring smartphone market recently?
These AI features use Google's LLM, so they are not Samsung. They are on the Pixel line, and other OEMs will be bringing them out soon. Apple has Siri LLM (developed by Apple), and Magic 8.0 has its own LLM for Honor devices. Also, these AI features are coming to the S23 next month, so they are not specific to S24.
Samsung's S series flagship phones are clearly different from other smartphone brands in terms of software experience. The only downside is that the battery life of the base S series models Suck
I had the 23u and 24u side by side and now matter how I set it up the 23u was brighter... Always🤔
It only unlocks under the sun
You re absolutely correct ! Also from this video, the photos taken with S23 looks better than the S24 Ultra.
because of anti glare applied 2 screen but also s23 looks brighter cause of being alot more vivid colors pop.. Samsung will have update on 22nd to give users more vivid control among other things like camerea improvements
