    This is a rental ski binding. You still have to check forward pressure indicator on heel piece after you set length and place boot in binding. Also you should measure the boot sole length to be sure it is accurate. We have used this binding in your rental fleet so I have years of experience adjusting it. Also the din setting should be released checked with a calibration tool. Also double check the forward pressure and preloaded on the toe piece.

    Great video! Thanks! I watched someone else's video first which had me adjusting length with a screw driver (which was adjusting was the DIN). Thanks for setting me straight

    This is for a rental/demo binding but he doesn't say that

    Do most bindings adjust to different boot sizes? Or is it a special kind of binding. I've only ever skied with rentals and I'm looking into buying my own gear so I'm trying to earn as much as I can before buying stuff lol

      The binding in this video is a demo binding. I made the video when i sold the skis - it was intended to show the buyer how to adjust the bindings to his boots. That said, the principles are the same for most demo bindings. Regarding non-demo bindings, they won't adjust as much but you can still adjust them a bit if the boot they were mounted for is similar in size to yours. Typically that's done with the forward pressure screw. Good luck and thanks for watching.

    Are old ski binding adjustable the same way or its different?

    • @erikmurn
      @erikmurn  Před 3 lety +2

      All ski bindings are a bit different. This video shows how it's done for this particular demo binding (Marker, I think). Most demo bindings are very similar to this. Other bindings usually also have some slide mechanism to make adjustments but not the numbers that correspond to the boot. In that case, make sure you set the forward pressure correctly.

    Need to mention forward pressure - at least check for it. Can't always trust the markings ....

      Good point. A quick primer on checking forward pressure is here: theskimonster.com/blog/posts/how-to-adjust-your-marker-ski-bindings/. As with my video, which sets demo bindings for the appropriate boot size, all bindings are a bit different so yours may vary slightly. The concepts are generally similar though.

      Erik Murnighan Thanks! Good info there. I also just uploaded a video I made for a friend on centering and adjusting : czcams.com/video/FH5BdOWj4mw/video.html

    Thanks for this video. Now I can change my settings as they're was wrong and broke my fibula skiing as my ski never released. My boots are 306. The guy put my brand new ski setting as 302. I feel like suing them for that. Don't trust the French.

      Net Turner first you need measure your boot sole length. Second you need to visually check the forward pressure indicator on the heel piece. You can not just use the numbers.
