There are lots of artists with very little achievements walk around as if they rule the world and often throw starry tantrums! But it's astounding to see this 2 time Oscar awardee, Golden Globe and 6 time National awardee to maintain his serenity and humility through out his journey! People who grew up hearing ARR will completely associate with his unique magical touch which no body else has! Have always been a proud Indian coz of APJ abdul kalam, AR Rahman and Sachin Tendulkar!
Oh yes... Oscar deserves AR Rahman!

A R ruined my life. I'm in my early thirties. I haven't made it in the music world but I haven't given up either. I sing averagely, I play piano averagely. Everything I've been doing in life has brought me back to music and ARR is at the centre of it. I even went to Berklee College of music to study. In fact, I'm typing this from one of the practice rooms in Berklee (@171, yup.. Piano principal). This lifelong love for music is going to be the death of me 😒.

May be due to new and unique kind of music of Sir A R Rahman .

Seriously there is no one like A.R, like you don't get people like A.R. Rahman very much, a genius who is humble, grounded and rooted, who has soared through the skies, reach the unimaginable places ahead of the time and continue to innovate, change and shatter the status quo. After flying and reaching the greatest height and facing many trolls and criticism he returns to his origin place to Begin Again, just for the heck of it. If someone can the landscape of Hindi cinema music its A.R, please dear Bollywood let A.R do what he wants to do, stop interfering in his creations.
P.S. To all the people who say he lost his touch, I just ask you to actually listen, like really listen to his recent Tamil/ Hindi/ English creations where he got complete freedom to shine his magic, Mersal, Kaatru Veliyidai, Viceroy's House, Mom/ Sachin, OK Jaanu (Minus the fuckall Badshah stupid shit which A.R had nothing to do with.)

I trust all geniuses work on a different level. What we call an out of form is the lack of inspiration from within. If you recollect the Hollywood movie on Shri Ramnujam, he spoke of Narayani that guided him. Rahman began this interview calling himself a conduit. And when we are drawn to the highest good, the difference between the sung and the heard disappears, doesn't it? Feeling good to let these words flow.
