    Right from the start of the interview, arr has tears swelling up...it happens to him whenever he thinks about his distant past.. especially father, financial situation etc. He tries to calm himself by touching his temples and he does it in so many interviews. He has had a heavy heart and choking throat all through his young ages with many complexes and great personal loss...

    You can easily tell, A.R was depressed in his early time, He lost his dad when he was 5 later on, he converted into a muslim.. that's a difficult decision to make, ofc he was a religious person and believed in sufism. You can feel that in his music.
    In the interview, any glimpse of his early ages makes him cry. #respect

    Music is a universal language. Each region has its own style. Rahman mastered or trying to master every style and provide happiness to the world. No one (every corner of the world) can deny he is a great musician. Mocking he is doing only 5 scores a year is ridiculous. The depth he shows in his music worth the time he takes.

      Tom was asking what his favourite chord is - to which he replied, the 13th. "A full 13th chord is made up of seven notes. That is a major triad plus a seventh, ninth, eleventh and the 13th. Since this is impossible to play on a six-string guitar, the fifth and the third are often left out (and sometimes even the root). E.g. C13 consists of the notes C, E, G, Bb, D, F and A."

    While appreciating his honesty to have accepted that winning Oscar was sheer luck because that year's cine music generally was depressing, his view about other great composers before his time were churning out more music out of compulsion without giving importance to quality is not in good taste. After all Indian cine music be it Bollywood kolywood or any other wood was like that. MDs particularly IR was into a pressing situation to wean Tamil audience away from boliwood and help the industry itself to revive by producing more movies. With this onerous task on him IR had taken it on himself not to compromise on quality and on that platform only ARR had built his empire. May be he knew that to show more quality and difference in sounding he has to first go north and with that launching pad to global music. But IR somehow found his roots here and stayed put. This ARR himself is aware of.

    • @manohardayanandan433
      @manohardayanandan433 Před 3 lety +1

      i see your views are your perspective and ARR didn't necessarily mean IR ... there are so many other composers at that time whom ARR also worked as a factory like setting... and more so ARR has in every interview when mentioned about IR is only in high regards ... you may or have to know that :-)

    This man celebrated as a very soft, cultured and very talented man has allowed such praises, egoism and enchomiums go into his head by denying other yester year and contempirary musicians their rightful place. And also he never speaks about Indian music leave alone his native music. Slowly his colours have started showing off.
