- Today we look at a GEM in the Analog Horror Community called NeedleM0use by @shutupjojo_. This is a unique look at a potential origin story for the infamous Sonic.exe.

That song you mentioned, the one always used for ARG's and Analog Horrors, is called "Daisy Bell." It was the first song ever sung by a machine back in 1961. Since most find the recording unnerving due to the emotionless tone of the machine singing a pleasant tune, they've begun using it for horror stories that center around the "early technological age."

You mixed up Martin and Michael's places. Martin = Eggman and Michael = Knuckles. You were right about Sarah = Sonic and Luther = Tails, though.
These exe tapes are an alternate take on the sonic.exe series, there's alot of takes on it, the PC port has a cult behind it, the One More Round take is the original and the sequel but more creepy. I highly suggest you play Sonic.exe PC port or One More Round, they are really scary, and really good

The reason why Daisy Bell is used for most Analogue Horror or ARGs is probably due to the fact that it was the first song sung by a computer back in the 60s the time where the characters in NeedleM0use were kids in and around when most analogue horror series are set in like Local58's Contingency showing a public service announcement from the 1960s or 1970s

Ok, *LORE STORY TIME I THINK!! :D * the characters (Luther Micheal and Martin) killed Sarah, at a party, Luther (The protagonist) helped cover it all up, The murder), even though they were great friends, then at the place she was buried, Sega made their HQ, she was reincarnated as sonic, and is very spiteful. Luther just so happens to play 1 specific sonic game where she’s trapped, she goes after his brother (Michael) who then becomes knuckles, then Martin (The beard guy) who becomes Eggman, but Sega is trying to cover all of this stuff, story and tapes up, (Evil girl taking the form of their mascot killing people, that’s bad), and he is a employee at Sega. But alas, right before he destroys the cursed disk, she gets him, (F in the chat/ comments) he becomes Tails and the gang’s all here... suffering, and in evil sonic land, atheism is the true fact
I just realized that the reason Sarah specifically became Sonic was because of the fact Sega built their office over where she was buried.

I think it's a combination of that, and that Sarah likely sees herself as the "hero" of this story, hence taking on the appearance of a hero
I mean if I was in her position I’d probably do the same thing if one of my friends were to just put a building over me.

Actually, you got the names wrong. Michael is Knuckles. When the friend group beat up Sarah (Sonic.exe) Michael just stood there and did nothing to help Sarah survive. Eggman is a character called Martin. This guy chould have been the person that did the final blow or started the fight. Luther is Tails. I believe that he was the one that killed Sarah and thats why she wanted to trap him in the game cartridge so bad.
There’s no Tails in any of the videos except for a minute and a couple of seconds in the Blue Sphere special stage and the *”No way! No way?”* screen.

6:19 The only reason this song is "Creepy" nowadays is because of TikTokers putting this in spooky videos (One more reason I hate Tiktok). The song it's self isn't creepy at all, it's actually heartwarming. It's about a guy singing about his crush and him getting married and riding off into the sunset on a bicycle built for two.
Prior to TikTok being a thing, it was known for only two things: 1) Being the first song ever sung by a computer in 1961 (an IBM 7094 to be exact). 2) It was the song sang by Hal 9000 in 2001: A Space Odyssey, in his final moments before being shut down.
It's creepy because it sounds genuine like a real person; put it next to newer voice AI like Vocaloid and then listen to the IBM7094, the latter gives of feelings of genuine emotions. There are even videos that have duets with the IBM and Vocaloid, a sort of Grandfather and Granddaughter.

I always liked sonic.exe cos I'm a sucker for gaming creepypastas, even if they're not all that good. This is sort of like a prequel - and it actually makes the existence of sonic.exe make sense. So, that's really impressive, and this is a cool take!

ok so basically Luther and his friends killed or someone killed Sarah and they buried her then the Sega building got built there and she got reformed as sonic and started killing the friend group and making them the original game cast, Luther last minute tried to destroy the disc hoping everything will stop and they will be free but the disc isn't there because Sarah got Luther
knuckles: Michael
Eggman: Martin
sonic: Sarah (the one whos killing them)
tails: Luther I think
and everyone else is either just dead or non killed
Eggman is another one of the Fun Gang (Sarah s friend group)

They four was very Best friends..One day they go to a preparatory party, Luther was so drunk That throw a bottle to Sarah, his others Friends didnt do anything to help, they (And Luther) Hidden the body in a camp close of a lake..Sega industries build There, and the soul of Sarah enter in 3 of these games, and these games was sell to her Friends, There it's where te serie starts

This is the closest arg to The Walten Files in terms of scaring me. Without naming names, the others are all great but I'm more invested in their stories than their scares.
TWF and this have that unsettling, almost traumatizing scariness from the audio design and unique art styles. I almost freaked out at the eggman screaming part, and the only times I've felt that close to crying while watching these are Sha's agonized screams and Felix's sobbing in TWF.
I'd say this is a 8/10 personally, its great and has a lot of unique stuff and a good story. Idk what a 10 would be for me tho, probably something that makes me have to double up on therapy appointments.
My rating may change after watching part 2. Can't stress that I love this enough tho
