Yeah both look good. I would also just get the Aldi. 3 bags for the price of 1 McCain. No way they will taste almost £2.50 extra better.

I've got the very same Aldi crinkle cut chips in my freezer right now, although the price has gone up to £1.19. Even if the McCain ones are tastier, I would not pay that much more. I like the Aldi ones. They're fine. I have the round Ninja air fryer, too. It's fantastic for chips and hash browns.

    Hello.
Years ago I got the McCain ones as they were lovely done in the chip pan. Not having a chip pan now, they get done in the oven and I get the aldi ones. Love the price and they are great chips .
    Thanks for sharing

I would definitely go with the Aldi OFG. Thank you for doing this review so we know the difference.

Yet another great review. I would go Aldi, especially if you have an air fryer, as they would taste better cooked in one. We can't have McCains as most are coated in wheat and my wife is gluten intolerant. Aldi chips, pie or fish fingers, peas, bread and butter... Oh yes. All the best from Birmingham.

The best aldi chips ive had is triple cooked beef dripping ones but there often out of stock at my local aldi. The bag is only 750g for £1.49 so there not the best value but there nice with some fish they actually taste a bit like chip shop chips

Oh they sound nice. I will keep an eye out for those. I’m eating the Iceland Harry Ramsden ones at the moment. They are the best frozen ones I’ve tried to be fair. But Beef dripping sounds amazing.🤤

Several years ago, McDonalds did end beef dripping for their chips around here and went plant oil like all the others. The taste of their fries was never the same... 😒

Have you tried McCain's Gastro Chips ? Very pricey (£3.30 at Sainsbury's) but triple cooked in beef dripping😋

Mccains are the only oven chips I like tbh. I know they are more expensive but they are better chips. I hate vinegar too. It's horrible and stinks. Top review. 👍👍👍

I was at Tesco today, £1.65 for own brand, or £2 for McCain (1kg) on club card price. Decided to just pay the extra 25p. Might as well at that point.

Sainsbury's have "Extra Crispy" chips, with skin on, and they're amazing. I noticed yesterday they've brought out extra crispy crinkle cut chips now, I'll try them later.

I like the crispy bits can't stand chips with no colour may aswell just have boiled potatoes lol....but I make my own oven chips from fresh potatoes par boil em then you add oil n spices n garlic n it all gets right into the already cooked potatoes then just whack in oven on 220 for 15 mins..super tasty n fluffy you could do a video making your own ovens chips I would like too see what you come up with...cheers

Three bags are better than one and it's those pointless tiny burnt scraps that shouldn't happen in chips only to make the weight up
