- Am I too late, or is it okay that this Halloween-inspired project is slightly late?! Soon enough you'll be seeing Christmas projects on the channel, but before then we needed to pass through the spookiest time of the year.
The epoxy resin has been sanded to 10000 grit and buffed and waxed to a clear finish.
The mug is 110mm tall and 90mm wide.

It can be very difficult, and is not as rewarding as turning wood, but it certainly has its uses 😁👍

Hi Harry. I'm really new to turning & especially resin. Cracking bit of work. Can I ask, can the mug be used for hot drinks, (is it food safe ?) or is it a piece of art ?. I can imagine the same process, but making a goblet/wine glass,, sounds like it would be amazing looking &, same question, would that be usable for drinking alcohol.? Really enjoying your videos. Thanks for watching! As long as the resin is fully set it's safe to drink from it. However always look at the manufacturers guidelines 👍

@@HarrySmithShorts It's more about a lathe getting hold of you and pulling you into it and ripping your arm off. Happens in industrial situations, but I'm sure your little lathe could do some damage beyond making you work naked.
