Private companies should not be able to use eminent domain and if they go over anybodies property they should have to pay the property owner rent and it should be a substantial sum

This hearing is a total waste of time and taxpayer money. These corps will be allowed to do whatever the hell they want to do just like they did in the 1970's in the state of Georgia across my farmland. They offered me a little over $4k dollars to bring power lines across my property. The part they leave out is the land these power lines are put on is forever ruined. You can't do anything with that land at all. It is worthless land, but you still have to pay freaking property taxes on it as if it were useful land. 100% TOTAL RIP-OFF. Hawley knows these facts and he offered no opposition at all to these companies that are stealing people's private ownership land.

The beneficiary of this land grab are the power companies, while some may argue the power is for public use. However, the beneficiary to this is a private holding/company and as such, not sure how and why imminent domain was invoked. Bill of Rights state; Eminent domain refers to the power of the GOVERNMENT to take private property and convert it into public use (not for private company profits), referred to as a taking. Also, the Fifth Amendment provides that the government may only exercise this power if they provide just compensation to the property owners.
We'll say whatever and then do whatever.
