  • Great accuracy from a pistol can be hard to find. Rick believes he has found something special with the Weihrauch HW 44 FAC Pistol. He will take it out to 80 yards and see if Weihrauch's German made quality can stand up to the test.

    I have had my FAC HW44 .177 for more than two years now, and it still shoots as accurately as the one in the video. Yes, it is regulated, and has nice open sights, as well as the pic-rail for red dot or scope. I use a UTG pistol scope. Although my normal pellet for the HW44 is the JSB 8.44gr, I have shot many other types of pellets through mine with great results. I definitely wouldn't call it pellet picky. I purchased two extra magazines because I found I can shoot 40 pellets (4x10) on as single charge of the tank. The first 30 pellets are very consistent, after that the tank pressure starts to drop below the regulator pressure, and a very small amount of holdover is required to drive the last 10 pellets through the same hole the first 30 made. Yes, it is expensive, but fun for $ ratio is phenomenal. Also, the silencer is extremely quiet. The sound of the pellet hitting the paper target is louder than the sound of the pistol being shot.

      Perfect option for the barn rats 🐀! You can even get a shoulder stock for a nice little carbine for additional accuracy.

    Rick, you said it's ONE of the most accurate pistols you've shot. What others are as accurate (or better) in your experience?

    Want to buy a used HW44 for parts? Mine must have a bad O-ring somewhere, because it will not fill. I put the fill-probe in and pump, but the air comes right back out. It maintains the pressure I left it at but will not fill.

    Can you really even call it pistol review when you only shoot it from a tripod/bench rest like that?

    • @jimmytorello7041
      @jimmytorello7041 Před 2 lety +4

      It’s the fact of getting a unaltered performance test. By shooting off a rest, it eliminates shooter error. So when one goes to shoot freehand and miss, it’s the shooter’s fault not the pellets or air gun.

    • @sps3172

      @@jimmytorello7041 I missed the part of the review where he shot it freehand. How does it even handle when shot like that? What is the balance like? We don't know any of that do we? Doesn't seem like you would leave that part of of a PISTOL REVIEW.

      Using a rest shows the pistols accuracy. I do plenty of shooting offhand in many videos . This pistol performed above expectations. It’s interesting you make comment like this after watching a great performance from the pistol .
