All right, Ms C....I don't normally have much affection for any type of ephemera....but that autograph book!!!! Goodness me!!! I thought the outside was nice....but I think I would spend the day going over every inch of every page! Such penmanship!!! I do so wish I had been taught to write like that as a child!!! Of course, the way things are going today, I am glad I was in school at a time that cursive was so carefully taught! LOL!!! I love your finds...as usual....you just truly surprised me with the red velvet book.
Love the steins I've not seen ones with faces on the lid. That autograph book is amazing the hand in it looks so lifelike. I came across my old autograph book it had ones from my 2 grandmas that I'd forgotten I had. They died in the 1970s. I picked one up at a charity shop that has some nice rhymes in.
My dear Tarnished Treasures, what a delightful video! As I mentioned to you before, you attract all those treasures, you just send out your wishes to the universe and the universe responds to you! Wonderful!! 😊 Love to you and your family! 💖
I'm so behind on your videos! Looking forward to seeing what you'll do with the frame! But that autograph book is amazing. Ive been trying to find one for awhile now!
i love the autograph book. it reminds me of one i had when i was younger, wish i still had it. the pins are beautiful as always, you have such a great eye for jewelry.
The plates are pretty, even though they are not in the best condition. They are always nice for decor & for your aunt's crafts. The frame is really nice and I don't think I have ever seen one like it. Love the brooches.
I am always so amazed how you find such wonderful items! This is one of those hauls I cannot pick a favorite. On list of millinery items think one listing my reading was hat crepe. I found a autograph book from 1947 yesterday still need to read embossed front caught my eye but WOW yours is fantastic! Love when you noticed jewelry on calling card. On to top it all off brooches!!!
@@TarnishedTreasures1 Retired teacher here.......When you get there, you will love it. The only downfall is you don't get that high on Fridays as you did for years.
Love the glass steins. The script in the Autograph Book is beautiful and some is in the Palmer Method that you had a booklet about previously. The t's and r's are different. My mother is 96 and writes in that style.
Oh my, how I love that autograph book! Such gorgeous handwriting 😍. And of course lovely jewerly to wrap it up. That tiny pin that a picture goes in would be absoultely great for a Christmas seal.
I forgot about “Jones New York”. I used to work in the fashion industry in the late 70s through 1993. My first job was much like assistant in The Devil WearsPrada”. I dressed in High-Designer clothes that I purchased on sale even before it went on the floor. My first job was in a beautiful Art Deco 1929 store, Bullocks Wilshire. I like the purple plates. They would look good along side my Bonsai Green kitchen cabinets. I just came home from Kaiser where I got my second Anterior Hip Replacement. Yippee - easy recovery. 😘💜 Janet
That autograph book is awesome. Isn’t it sad that schools are doing away with cursive? My son was the last to learn it in his high school, so sad look at the art we are losing. So glad you had a wonderful last day of work! ❤
Already finding great things, the good luck ihas already started. Love everything but I always love ephemera. The beautiful autograph book is such a great find, love it❤
Purple transferware is interesting and unique. I have seen the various shades described by fruits and flowers. Everything from violet, mulberry, plum, lavender, and on. Autograph book collecting was an expensive and competitive area to collect ephemera in. They were cultural reflections of mostly the mid to late 1800s and loved for the beautiful cursive handwriting. Those beer steins are wonderful. It will be a fabulous summer for raising the bar for refined uniqueness. Enjoy the hunt.
I’ve seen some accounts on IG that collect scrap books, journals, photo books. There are some very beautiful and unique ones that have been created and they cost a lot.
The autograph book reminds me of mine( long gone) when I was young. I lost alot of stuff in a flood/ hurricane when in Key West. My 1st husband was in Navy there& I was pregnant with my 1st at 19.😢 You have a couple of cute clothes& mugs/ ? Stein's. Keep on looking..👍🥰🦜🌴
You find the most beautiful things. That autograph book is very similar to my own autograph book which is signed by my friends and classmates before I left France. It has poems and scraps. I hold that dearly!! Also the t-shirt sable et mer is sand and sea in French. Love, love everything!!
It’s interesting-my maiden name was Dengler and when my grandfather came over with his brothers they landed in NJ and were strawberry farmers. I wonder if Charles was related? I have an autograph book from the same era and it’s one of my prized possessions- yours is gorgeous in the velvet.

That’s really cool to hear and I would love to have penmanship like that too

That’s so good that you have your grandmothers.
The antique autograph book was a fantastic find! The handwriting wou.d have hooked me.🩷
It all hooked me!
The penmanship in that autograph book is art to me. 🥰🥰🥰
I agree
I love the plates and the scrapbook, and that postcard of the couple in the balloon would be so fun for a Valentine’s display.
It’s absolutely going on display for Valentine’s Day

What a find that autograph book is!!!! Also love that wooden frame and those 2 pins at the end - the gorgeous holly leaves. 😍😊
The holly leaves had me!
i love the autograph book. it reminds me of one i had when i was younger, wish i still had it. the pins are beautiful as always, you have such a great eye for jewelry.
It’s like a yearbook!
The plates are pretty, even though they are not in the best condition. They are always nice for decor & for your aunt's crafts. The frame is really nice and I don't think I have ever seen one like it. Love the brooches.
The frame was new to me. Unfortunately not deep enough for jewelry, so I’ll have to think of something else.

Once I looked at the millinery list off camera, it was easier to decipher. Same as the book. It’s hard to read through the camera.
@@TarnishedTreasures1 Never thought about reading thru camera thanks for pointing that out.
Those 2 beautiful silk placemats would make one beautiful pillow.
Good idea❤
Don’t you just love that feeling of leaving school for summer break? I always treat myself to a little retail therapy. Nice finds!
Oh yes! It’s a must

So glad you had a wonderful last day of work! ❤
Luckily my daughter had it in 5th grade. A bit late but at least her teacher thought it was important.
The autograph book was so neat to go through! Thank you for sharing it !! So interesting to see the writing style!!
You are so welcome!

Love the plates❣️❣️Beautiful writing. A lost art😒
I know. So sad.
I believe it’s still taught in a lot of Catholic schools. It’s definitely a dying art.
Pretty plates Purple and grape design. PERFECT
Thank you! Cheers!
I’m back from the depths just in time! Your summer vlogs are my favourite! LOVE the antique invoice and receipts! x

I was so surprised to see it in the store. And that hand scrap! It’s so large. I’ve never seen one so large.

I saw that when I was editing. Something about looking g through the camera lens and reading is difficult.
