- This is how you find the rigging position when building a saddle. Most of the saddles I build are in the 7/8 double rigging position. Please check out www.stingsaddlery.com I’m also on Facebookand Instagram.
That explains it the best I’ve seen
Neat. I've never seen anyone do it like that. That's about the 5th different method I've seen . Seems like it varies from one saddle maker to another.
I’m sure everything saddle maker doesn’t it a little different. This is the easiest way I have found.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge
You’re welcome.
So, would the front edge be aligned with the mark?
I’m not understanding your question. Are you asking if the rigging position marks are in line with the front edge?
@@SterlingCampbellCustomSaddles I'm sure its just me... if you put rigging against the tree, aligned with your marks, maybe I'd better understand... duh!
@@tonynet2709 okay so when you put your rigging on the tree, make your rigging marks ( witch ever position you choose) to be inline with the center of your rigging ring.
@@SterlingCampbellCustomSaddles thanks! That's exactly what I wanted to know.
@@tonynet2709 you’re welcome. Glad I could help you.
from a practical perspective, this method works. From an educational standpoint, I don't think this explanation is correct. I could have been taught wrong or misunderstood, or perhaps these definitions are colloquial.
