The whole point is making the heckler feel like the insignificant person that they are, you are similar to the heckler in the fact that you berate people knowing your 'safe' online, if it's not funny to you or not to your taste just leave a dislike and don't watch any more of his things, nobody cares that you think it wasn't good, leaving a comment like that only serves to make people like myself pity your insignificant existence, I don't usually reply to comments but I've seen an unusually high amount of useless comments like this tonight so unfortunately your the one I'm aiming my displeasure at, I hope you look in the mirror and realise you don't need to continue being a killjoy, I wish you all the best.

in the us heckling is considered disrespectful. in the uk and Europe its a bit different. its still disrespectful but its taken differently. some welcome it, others ignore it.

Unless you're a really talented, experienced and quick-witted stage performer - dealing with hecklers usually goes badly. The heckler usually derails the show. Clearly, Piff is talented and quick-witted enough to not only make his dismantling of the heckler entertaining but he also achieves the primary goal of SILENCING the heckler. The key is to turn the crowd _against_ the heckler, which he deftly does.

It's kinda brilliant how Piff turns the old saying "if you have to explain a joke, it's not funny" and uses it as a double-barrel come back first explaining his own (funny) joke to the heckler like the guy's a complete idiot who was the only one in the room who didn't get it ("First of all, it's a toaster") then builds up momentum and goes on to meticulously explain the heckler's comment and show how moronic his heckle was.
A good joke only gets better as the teller explains it.. at least, that's my experience.

I personally enjoy how Piff ignored the heckler at first, but when he went after the girl on stage, that's when tree dragon intervened. Truly, he is a gentleman and a magical dragon.

I got complimentary tickets to see him at the flamingo in Vegas. Dudes pretty quick witted dealing with crowds. I didnt really think I would like the show but I laughed my ass off.
