    We were all living the dream... It was all perfect... I can't possibly remember the countless nights I've spent playing WoW... but it was all worth it, and If I had the opportunity to go back in time, I wouldn't change anything! Thanks to this game I can now speak english fluently and communicate much, much easier! Thank you for these precious times, dear WoW, dear WoW community, dear Blizzard... God, I miss these times, my soul breaks into many pieces while listening to this... Wowmusicable, thank you.

      If you get the chance -- and please believe me, you should do anything you can to make this happen even if it's difficult -- travel to Norway. First, this song will haunt your days if you get out in the countryside and wander through the highland valleys and over mountain plateaus. But on a completely other note, when you're in modern Oslo and down by the water and the city hall, you will hear the city bell tower ring out with the same first three notes every hour. I can't describe it well enough, but for someone with this song deep in their heart, even those three notes will get you over and over. I had to excuse myself from conversation a few times there and just take a few moments alone. Even better when I was wandering around sculpture gardens and city parks, hearing those notes ring out, feeling like magic was not lost from the world after all.

    The music of Vanilla, TBC, and WotLK is so phantastic but they messed it up with Cataclysm. I got hooked to the game through its music, I stayed for its music, and I came back half a dozen times for its music. I have a USB stick with all my music on it for the MP3 player in my car, and I listen to the vast world of WoW music probably more than all the other music combined. I love nature, I love driving, and with WoW music even the real world becomes magical.

    Nagrand is the original home to the Orcs, where Thrall's father lived peacefully. They shared a beautiful land with the Draenei, and that's why I love questing there, to go back to "Hey, once this land was inhabited by x and y, and around here, this happened".
    Lore aside, the music is fantastic. The lands itself are a typical lush green, but with such cool tree designs, the waterfalls on islands afloat in the air, and the breathtaking sunshine (after terrokar's dismal scenery) are beautiful!

    I feel like this might be the first time I've ever listened to the music in Nagrand. Never really leveled here and when I came back to farm Knothide Leather to level my skinning I was listening to A7X on repeat.

    some parts of draenor captured the beauty of outland quite well others didn't and unfortunately the gameplay just wasn't there.

    Sometimes I listen to this music and think of the good times. I've grown out of WoW. My main has been sitting on one of the floating islands in TBC Nagrand for years now. Probably enjoying her retirement while listening to this tune.

    the 2nd most comfy zones after valley of the 4 winds, also weirdly high effort from an orchestral perspective

    lol. That waterfall over there holds what must be my most frustrating WoW memory. I had died on that bridge in front of it, and when I went back to my corpse I fell off the bridge before I could resurrect (which doesn't sound very frustrating because it's not the frustrating part). Anyways, there's a pointy rock that juts out of the side of the cliff underneath the waterfall. The rock was very tall and pointed at a steep angle, so I got stuck. I waited for hours for a GM to help.

    I'm playing TBC now again on a private server and while it's as majestic as it was back then, something is missing now. The best thing about TBC in my opinion was that we had no idea what to expect with an expansion and Outland blew everyone's mind when they saw it for the first time.

    I did two things in Nagrand. I was either relaxing on top of a floating island or I was in Halaa on my hunter, blasting people off of their flying mounts with my Goblin Rocket Launcher (before Blizz made us unable to do this). Good times.

  • @loreelgas
    @loreelgas Před 11 lety

    As a hunter - besides all the farming to be done it kinda felt like home.... I like how ordinary it was compared to the floating rock islands and moonscape of other areas in outlands.

    Nagrand is one of my favourite places in all of World of Warcraft. I'd go here and listen to the music and wiev the scenery. I'd either ride on my white Quel'dorei Steed through the landscape or fly to a floating island, make a fire and sit there and admire this wonderous place

    Durn the Hungerer was the thing I feared the most everytime I was near Osh'gun in Nagrand. He'll just stomp on me when I was busy leveling and killing those consortium dudes around that area. Miss TBC alot.

    Which is wierd because pandaria was also a welcome change after the cataclysm. The zone reinvested our sense of exploration and inadvertently seared the music in our heads. Pandaria was calm, peaceful, welcoming, pretty and re-energizing to our will to play in a sense.. Strangely everyone hates the place and the expansion. Ahhh nostalgia huh?

    I remember during my holidays and weekends I would get up really early in the morning to grind Primals from the Elemental Plateau for that awesome craftable weapon Thunder, for my Paladin alt, that would then be upgraded to Deep Thunder, which would then be upgraded to Stormherald. The amount of Primals needed to make all of those weapons was criminal lol

    One of the few maps which captured the beauty of Outland, not only through the eyes, but the ears. One of the few lands there not shattered totally. Not that most all of them don't have great music.
