Who has come here after watching the legend of ruby Sunday?
I was genuinely shocked by that reveal, so good.
yes!!
me
Me, babes
Ever since I first saw pyramids of mars years ago when I began my classic who journey, sutekh has always stuck with me. Never in a millions would I seen one of my favorite classic who villains returning to modern who, then again the Toymaker came back so I should hope for others to return :)
well you were right!!
Just rewatched Pyramids of Mars and realized there’s been Easter eggs along the whole season. The way that Rogue describes the TARDIS is the same as Scarbrough‘s brother. And the second episode where he takes Ruby back to earth and it’s been destroyed and tells her about how time can change is almost the exact same dialogue and scene as the fourth doctor had with Sarah Jane. I’m sure there’s others I’ve missed but he’s been telegraphing exactly where this was going all season long.
Yes. RTD has been very sneaky about this the whole time.
There were hints littered all throughout the season, but he tried to divert everyone by saying "Oh, it's got something to do with the THIRD Doctor', and mentioning 'Spearhead from Space' - Nothing at all to do with the Fourth Doctor and Sutekh.
Well once I heard that voice of Gabriel Wolf I knew who he who waits was, I seen that story so many times, Gabriel himself is now 94 years old props to him for doing the incredible voice again.
I would like to see the Doctor visit Egypt on site to fight Sutekh. make it look like Tatooine.
Man called it
Even in the Dr Who universe Sutekh has the head of jackal. The monster flashed up briefly in the trailer doesn't. Of course they could have decided to change that but it would dislocate the character from Egyptian mythology, which is the whole point of him.
I think the Trickster and even Omega are more likely, but it'll probably be someone new
I still think it's the TRICKSTER
The Empire of Death synopsis claims the Doctor's foe is "ageless", the exact opposite of Sutekh, who was portrayed as aging to death, albeit a bit slowly over thousands of years. Also there is apparently some connection to the Third Doctor, not the Fourth. No, I claim a better fit is rapidly becoming the Inferno alternate universe Doctor. The Inferno Doctor would actually be ageless since like the regular Doctor the Inferno Doctor is a Timeless Child, and RTD specifically rejected just trashing the Timeless Children concept. Also the Inferno Doctor would have a strong connection to some Susan Foreman, who could well be the last person he/she had any sort of personal connection with. And the Inferno Doctor is waiting to regain knowledge of how to fully use a Tardis / time travel technology because the Time Lord block was never removed. Now rewatch Inferno with the idea that Three was able to hop universes because the Inferno Doctor also wanted it. And imagine that magic is being introduced into the universe because again, the Inferno Doctor wants it, to break down the walls between imagination and reality, in a desperate attempt to escape his / her predicament. If you think about it, using the Inferno Doctor repeats the story beats of The Pyramids of Mars for a modern audience. And there is a triad concept in Inferno itself -- look at the caps the military wears. There's a symbol with what I interpret to be a Tardis in the middle and two shapes flanking. Those flanking shapes are in art recognized to be the motif of the Trees of Life and Knowledge. This is a thing I heard from a Great Course on Western art, the first thing actually discussed. The Inferno Doctor has eaten of the Tree of Life as a Timeless Child so only needs to eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge. My speculation is that the Susan Twist is the Inferno Doctor's Tardis projected throughout time shadowing the Doctor, with his projections of his Susan, and that Ruby Sunday is an agent from the Inferno universe sent to either neutralize or repatriate the Inferno Doctor. The episodes of the series are teaching Ruby Sunday who her target is, a developmentally stunted fascist who has a horrific plan for mass destruction, and who she is, a form of bounty hunter.
Story: pyramids of Mars from 25 of Oct to 15th of Nov 1975. And it is an amazing story. It was written by Stephen Harris. I put the wrong name 😀
Robert holmes (the best writer of dr who) rewrote it as the orginal script was mummies chasing people in the musuem. Holmes said it was mess when he got the script.
Nah its gonna be the Daleks.
😂😂😂
So Sutekh was "aged to death" but is returning 🙄
Please no, Please No. There are a lot of one off villains from Classic Who who were good but don't need to come back. Sutekh is one of them. I loved Pyramids of Mars, but I don't need to see him comeback. The same applies with the Zygons. They did not need to comeback in New Who and if they never comeback it will be too soon. While were at it why not bring back the Krotons.
Sutekh is not a one off, 10 also went against him
@@livingcoffee_editsmaybe in extended media. But as far as the show is concerned. Yeah he is a one off villains. He has only appeared in the Pyramids of Mars.
I think it's Hecuba The Queen of time (the toymakers sister)
Why would The Toymaker be scared of his sister?
