- The burrito method is a common technique used to neatly line the section of a garment enclosing the seam allowances. To achieve this, the garment is rolled into the lined section and sewn, hence the name. This technique is commonly used in back yokes of shirts, all-in-one facings for sleeveless tops and dresses, underwear gussets, and even pillows. In this video, we show how to do the burrito method for a shirt or blouse with a collar or neckband.

Came to this after a google search while I'm making a shirt from an old one in my closet! This is exactly what I needed!
Glad it helped!
AMAZING.
Usually when I watch a tutorial I will always be left with questions like "wait was that front or back of the fabric, what did they align it too just now, what are they top stitching at" and etc. But everything in this video was explained.
I'm so glad!
Really really good
Glad you think so!
Excellent tutorial. So clear and easy to see what you’re doing. I would love to see more . You really are a great teacher. I had tried to follow other tutorials but found them too confusing. Great job 😊
Thank you so much Irene!
The process on the Nicks dress is different to this and im struggling to get it right, any tips?
Yes it is a different burrito method from this. If you're still having some issues you can contact support@closetcorepatterns.com and we can help you there!
The fabric makes everything very hard to follow.
It's meant to help distinguish between the pattern pieces and show a distinct right and wrong side, but we'll note that for next time.
