Im a plumber in Illinois its not generally that difficult physically imo the difficulty comes in when you have to install plumbing in a place where none previously existed or locating the source of leaks that arent readily apparent. depending where you live theres also a lot of codes you have to follow for safety reasons and general functionality of a system thankfully thats always readily available and can be referenced. If youre doing it right you dont generally get covered in sewage either

42:50 @Northernlion i go to the local UUC congregation near me sunday morning and it's pretty much what you describe. a bunch of sweet older folks on the christian - agnostic - atheist spectrum listening to sermons about loving your fellow man and enjoying some coffee and crackers afterwards. UUC doesn't operate in canada, but try a secular church in your area - i don't think the redditors really know they exist.

plumber = can't be that hard
drive through worker = that job seems hard
you know more about drive through than plumber, which is why you can relate to it's challenges. yes, like lots of construction type jobs, some things are "easier" than others. changing out a water heater isn't all that hard, if you know how to do it, of course, but planning out a system for a new build has a lot of challenges. i've been in both fast food and construction, and i can tell you without a doubt that both jobs are challenging in their own ways, but learning how to run drive through proficiently can be accomplished in a week. learning how to be a proficient plumber takes years.
while everything you said is true I think they were talking about plumber from a place of a job that has good benefits and a fast food worker as a job that has very little in terms of benefits
