    Hey, thanks for posting this video! My meter is basically the same model, but auto-ranging, and without some features (like transistor and infrared mode). Anyways, mine is AoKoZo T28B, which is a brand only available here in Italy. Good review and very nice meter!

    Just a possibility, the firestick remote sends commands to the firestick via bluetooth not infrared, could be reason you are not seeing anything in your test as you are pressing down, a firestick command. the infrared on the remote is for direct control of the tv, such as volume.

      Ebay is your best bet. These are 6X30mm 20A 250V Fast Blow Ceramic Fuses. Use a digital caliper and confirm the size. www.ebay.ca/itm/293687778153?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=8pLFV2FzTiC&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=8LHX1CvSRCO&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

  • @Timo-M
    @Timo-M Před 3 lety +1

    While the price is quite low, I would not use it to measure usual mains voltage or above. Those fuses do not look capable to deal with higher levels of energy, such as an arc flash situation. Just for reference: According to the Fluke 117's manual, it is equipped with a fast fuse for 1000 V @ 11 A and said to break a current of at least 17.000 A. And yes, that device is pricier.

    • @KeepOnTesting
      @KeepOnTesting  Před 4 lety +1

      Thanks! Sorry the diode / Resitance test footage didn't make it to the final video as it was lost on the editing table ..ugh!! .It passed with flying colors though 5/5 LEDs lit with forward voltage bias displayed for all regular diodes ! So no problem ..take note, there was no audible beep on a good diode .
      FYI, I'll make sure that editing snafu doesn't happen again!

    Seems not a bad package, IR was a new feature but a disappointment. I searched it on Ebay and only seeing £44 from USA so definitely a no no at that price point. Much appreciated Darren. Anyway off topic I have been watching my Zoyi ZT5566 rather closely lately and have noticed that the real time clock is gaining about 5 seconds per day. Have you noticed anything similar? Would be curious if you or your viewers have similar experiences. Best wishes from Northern Ireland.

    Theres a chance your remote is RF instead of IR, which would explain why it wasn't detected. Many remotes are RF now because of its better range.
