I just got one to but I bought mine from Best Buy, they were selling them for $850. Did you spend the extra $200 for AppleCare+? Just curious to know if I made the right choice.

I bought mine also on 26 th of nov, on Black Friday sales. However, I didn’t get any gift cards. I thought it was only for tablet purchase. Could you please clarify what did I wrong ? Should I reach out to apple idk?

Great video the only thing I’m gonna say is I’ve heard that the cases you put on your MacBook affects the airflow of the computer. You don’t have to take it off but that’s what I’ve heard. Either way I thank you for the amazing video.❤

Is it advisable to use hardshell case? Will it damage the screen when you remove it since the MBA is too thin?
yeah those type of cases are REALLY harmful to macbooks, but i think the soft light plastic ones are fine; not sure tho.
just get a skin wrap
yes, the hardshell case tends to clamp a little bit on the edge of the keyboard and on the screen. So when you close it creates pressure on the display. The lid and the keyboard shut perfectly, there is a rubber gasket or protruding rubber at the edge of the screen right? That is only about 1-2 mm thick which is quite small for the hardshell case clamp. That means the edge will be higher than the rest of the display, especially in the middle. So when you pick it up after closing the lid, we tend to hold it in the edge and this pushes the display to the keyboard but due to the additional height in the edge contributed by the case, the flex is far more significant thus more pressure on the screen. Also, the screen of the MacBook is really sensitive. You can apply a screen protector but only the thins ones, like those cheap screen protectors since they are very thin. You can also put skin on it, but I don't want to cover my MBP with a skin or case because I like to admire its design lol.
As long as the case is light it won’t effect it
I really hate the sounds you get from putting those hardshell cases.
for those who have it do you think the screen is too small ? i have a dell 14' idk if i should get the m1 or m2 screen wise is my concern
I sold my 16" intel Macbook pro to go buy the M2 Air for portability. It has a slightly larger 13.6" screen with liquid retina. One of the reasons why I chose it over the M1 Air
I see people putting hard shells on their macbooks and some people say its bad for macbooks
It’s bad for MacBooks if the case is heavy, if the case is light it won’t effect it

did u have any problems with your MacBook? does it get hot? i recently got mine and I get to experience abnormal heating *esp on the keyboard area
I think that’s not normal but if you using heavy apps i think its ok?? I have mine macbook air and it’s perfectly normal it doesn’t get hot like you memtiomed. You should message/email apple customer about this.

Hi! We own the gold macbook, and it really is an amazing laptop. You won’t need to buy a new one for mannnny years. But just so you know, the gold isn’t as gold as you may think. It’s more copper!👍

Depends on what kind of video editing you do - if it’s not professional editing, the M1 will be great for you….and it’ll last you at least double of what any Windows pc would, which (at least for me) is a great perk. :)

Yes. Except if your a student applied to a university (MS OFFICE --- you can apply for educational access)...also, it depends on the coding program you're going to install. If you are going to use XCode and swift then it's free, if not then yes you need to pay for paid apps and subscriptions.
u can jailbreak to get apps that arebt free but you DO have to pay if its like netflix etc...:)

It really depends on your preference so you should buy whatever color u prefer
Don't, getting gold will reduce value if you resell. The buyer selection will shrink if you get gold because its more niche also I promise you, you'll get bored. I got my Apple Watch in rose gold and I hate it. Ive gotten a skin for it but I'm sad about it. If you like gold get a skin or case so you can change it :)

Not really if you gonna use it before 24hrs, you can shut down it when you not gonna use it for more then 24hrs
No. First, it makes your computer load everything every single time which is why it is a bit slow when it opens up. Second, shutting down your MacBook every day can cause pressure on the battery since it needs to deliver peak battery performance every single time you reboot it. MacBooks are more like an iPad or an iPhone, besides it is very smart actually. I reckon you don't shut down your iPhone every single night right, so don't --- expect if you are not going to use it for a long period of time.
