I went to Indiana Beach in August of 2003, and this was my favorite roller coaster there. Cornball Express is proof that a roller coaster doesn't have to be tall to be exciting!
Back seat on this coaster is fricking awesome. So much better than I could have expected. Only 250 people in the park while we were there...lost track of how many times we lapped this ride.

There's something about this coaster that holds a special fascination for me. Like the classic "Coney Island Cyclone", a wood tracked coaster with white steel supports seems so right for the waterfront. I also love how it strongly relies on all those great steep drops as it playfully winds around the lake's edge. I would go out of my way to go on this one! (from Ohio)
This is honestly one of my all time favorite coasters. Because it only has buzz bars, you get insane airtime.

One of the best wood coasters in the country, and remarkable because of how tiny the area is in which it was built. It packs in so much: relentless sense of speed, steep drops, strong laterals and incredible airtime.

jamesthemaniac I didn't get to ride it. An hour before we left either Cornball or Hoosier Hurricane had a board get loose. As we were leaving both rides became operative again. At least I did the Hurricane before that occured. Also I regret chickening out on and not riding the Steel Hawg since it's the only El Loco coaster remotely close to me.

Who here in the comments has been to Indiana Beach? I'm going there soon and I'm trying to decide which rides to go on. What rides do you recommend/not recommend?
Alana Naomi I really recommend this one! It was amazing! Hoosier hurricane was nice to but its really shaky. I also liked tiger but the turns are kinda painful

Went here on Labor Day weekend. Not one coaster had a line of any kind. Only one train even operating on them. Rode this and Hoosier Hurricane (awesome btw) 3 times apiece in the first hour there.
I was there on the Sunday after Labor Day. There were only 250 people in the park at 2pm. Loved this coaster.
Ross Hudson IKR? You can actually see the middle of the train go up during airtimes.

I would just like to share that I lost my glasses while riding this very roller coaster. They are somewhere at Indiana Beach.
So did my older brother. Sunny day and wasn't even noon. Actually it was Steel Hawg.
I also dropped em. I thankfully found them, but they are pretty much destroyed

Does this park get really packed
Was there recently on Labor Day. Was shocked at tiny attendance. Every coaster only had one train and still zero wait time. Sat on this one front seat 3 straight times. HIGHLY recommend it. My 8 year old said it was the best park ever, and its roller coasters were very decent even to me.

@@supercullen0047 Great name. Great coaster. I'm glad I rode it back to back on my last day last year. So sad to see it go. Maybe we'll get a miracle.
Also, the park had an advertising campaign at the time "There's more than corn in Indiana", and the advertising was absolutely everywhere! TV commercials primarily but print ads as well.
