The 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Interior Has Some Pros and Cons...

- Beth + Matt review the interior in the refreshed 2024 VW Atlas. Getting a heavy makeover, the interior loses most of its physical controls and replaces them with an infotainment system that has some flaws. But thankfully, Volkswagen also improved the materials inside and it makes the 2024 Atlas feel a lot more luxurious to better compete with the best in this segment and feel more worthy of this one's as-tested price of $54,200. Combined with lots of room inside and a really impressive amount of standard features, there's a lot to like about the new Volkswagen Atlas, especially in its lower trims. But it lacks some features in the higher trims that the competitors offer, which means the real strength of the 2024 Atlas is in its lowest trims. What do you think about the 2024 Volkswagen Atlas? Thanks to VW for providing this vehicle to review.

Love the fact that VW offers any trim with a bench seat. Most competitors don't. The flat folding floor makes this also perfect for hauling dog crates. Well done.
We love our Atlas. Its one of the best SUVs for kids because the middle row folds forward with a seat in it.
Thanks for sharing your ownership experience!
We love our '23 Atlas...not even one complaint....only praise
..
Can you get in the third row to help a kid buckle in with the car seat still in the second row?
Yes!@@Sumodeadliftsarefake69
It's been a while since I watched one of these interior review videos. You two had great chemistry on this review. It was enjoyable.
Thanks for giving these a try again, we appreciate it!
Thanks Matt n beth I always enjoy these videos. Thanks for posting for us
Thanks for watching!
I’m so happy you gave a quick glimpse of the night instrument lights inside the cabin, and I am shocked once again, I cannot believe Volkswagen did not put a light behind the volume knob on the infotainment screen, as well as the passenger and driver temperature control slide buttons. That’s just ridiculous, because they did the same thing to my ID4.
Really nice interior! I like that the third row isn’t so much of an afterthought with all of the accommodations.
I traded my 2023 Audi Q5 to a 2024 vw atlas cross sport SEL R-Line and I love it so much …but I agree with you with the whole piano Black anywhere in the car lol 🤦🏻♀️ I had it in my Q5 and I didn’t care for it 😏 fingerprints, lint is so easily seen on it and I don’t care for it, but I still love the car 😁🙏🏽❤️❤️
Excellent video, appreciate the efforts and details. Have a question about brakes, did not see any auto-hold switch to hold the parking brakes during long traffic stops. Does it have auto-hold brakes? and if yes, how does the auto-hold work in the Atlas? Thanks
Really Nice! Not sure if I like Kia Telluride or new Atlas better...
Matt and Beth - your thoughts on the Harmon Karden sound system? Thank you.
Sorry we missed this comment! It's a better stereo than past VW systems and is pretty good, but not best in class or anything.
These VW's are such great value on leases. Our Tiguan rides nice and is amazing. ONly thing is ac sucks weak
thanks
I’m not a fan of the plastic and the screen. My personal preference is a recessed screen that looks like it’s made into the car vs stuck there. I actually prefer the 2023 Sport but I can’t find this interior color combo in a 23. Maybe it wasn’t offered, isn’t in the sport or is a specific trim pkg. I’m getting rid of my Volvo XC60 T5 inscription and looking at all my options. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for watching! I think the 2023 Cross Sports were only offered with the choice of black or a black/tan combo. Let us know if you have any questions in the future regarding other options, our goal is to help everyone find a car they'll love!
I enjoyed this. Beth really gave her opinion on the piano black, and I agree. But I think the overall vehicle is a win.
Thanks for watching man!
Wish we still got a TDI option lol
We never got a TDI option.
@@kevs2good133 we did with the Touareg which is what the atlas replaced
@@MirsTripwhats crazy is that the 1st gen (2002 to 2010) Touraeg had a V10 TDI and it sounded like a freaking school bus. That thing was a monster!!
@@jonlosito2004 one of my favorite cars of all time. Wish I could get some decent 3rd party insurance to cover it so I can buy one
The wood grain is horrible, what were they thinking. The cross sport interior trim would have been much better in the atlas
EVERYTHING has some pros and cons
Car interiors peaked with the telluride style. Clean gauge cluster, big screen for navigation, buttons and knobs for ac, no subscriptions
WTH is Tik Tok radio on Sirius? So glad I only listen to metal. Irrelevant comment, I know. Nice interior regardless!
She hawwwt
🙏🙏🙏
Could we get a video with only señorita Beth? Would be kinda cool to see her flooring it!
She typically doesn't have very many opinions about how a car drives, so it would be a very short video haha.
No physical buttons for climate in a baby hauler? where people are going to be distracted enough.
You have most of the controls on your steering anyways.
Just from a depreciation perspective, I don’t think anyone can recommend the Atlas
I don’t think depreciation is a big factor in this segment. Most of the families shopping these 3-row SUV’s are probably more concern with the amount of space and features the vehicle has to offer, and less worried about how much money they’ll be able to make if decide to sell in 3 years.
@japanwatchconnection you are a 🤡
@@luisjalvareztorres8481 you’d be wrong
No VR6 Engine and No Fog Lights means no sale for me. The spare tire needs to be inside the vehicle under the rear cargo floor. No One checks the spare tire until you need it. VW needs to eliminate piano black plastic and add a rubber mat inside the center console..
No buttons or knobs.... can you do a little more research than just saying "nobody likes no buttons" and show people the widgets?
I've come to realize how picky everyone is. 1st world problems.
Its still Volkswagen car terrible value
L opinion
@japanwatchconnectionnot trolling VW cars are least reliable German cars
Who are you trying to fool with this poor сhroma key or whatever this is which simulates your presence inside the car?
Pilot interior is hands down better than this abomination. It may have the luxury touches, but it’s missing the basics that make an interior functional to use
