I remember how my journey with the Wii U started. First, my parents bought me and my sisters a Wii in the summer of 2009. We loved that console and played on it for four years until a former friend of mine introduced me to LEGO City Undercover on his Wii U and I was immediately hooked. I asked my mom if I could get the game and the console, and one Saturday in the Fall of 2013, she took me to Target and bought the Wii U Mario & Luigi Deluxe set and LEGO City Undercover. The next day, on a cool, cloudy Sunday evening, while my mom was making dinner, my dad and I were setting up the Wii U in our living room with my younger sisters watching. When the Mii Editor music started playing, I immediately fell in love with it and found it so chill and relaxing. I remember watching the transfer data animation from the Wii to the Wii U and I thought it was so cool. All of my cousins bought a Wii U as well that year and they still have them. I loved playing LEGO City Undercover on the Wii U so much. On school days, I would get up early and get ready so I could play the game before school. I spent a couple of summers sinking hours into LEGO City Undercover almost every day. My family played on the Wii U as our main console for a couple of years until our new next-door neighbors introduced me to the Xbox One and Forza Horizon 2 in November of 2014. Ever since then, the Xbox One has been our main console. To this day, we still have our Wii U and the original box. My family plays on it around once a month. I still love the Wii U. It's sad that it was so underrated. I have a lot of happy memories with the Wii U. May the Wii U's legacy live on!!!

I remember the day my mum came home with the bag full of joy, it held my Wii U! It was the Premium Black Edition Wii U too! At the time consoles weren’t my interest but the Wii U Created my passion for gaming. 6 at the time, I was still so happy. I was the only person in my estate with a Wii U and wasn’t aware of it. I never had SM 3D World but had NSMBU, Super Mario Maker, Mariokart 8 and Marvel Super Heroes (my Fave).

Soham Sharma Don’t forget the Wii Mini. 😉👍 It had a cheap price and design and came with Mario Kart Wii and red controllers. It even had a cool design. I wish Nintendo restocked them just like the NES and SNES with the Classic Editions and started restocking Wii games again.

I remember getting this back in 2013 on christmas morning and being so happy. Me and my sister we’re playing iT right after my dad and mum set it up. Also got 10+ games with it. Over the years till now I got a Total of 50+ games for the Wii U. Nostalgia was the best!!

John Mcclane I would get a Switch because the Wii U wasn’t the best console , Switch runs games up to 60 fps and had a LCF screen 1280x720 , the touchscreen capabilities of the switch are also more responsive than the Wii U.

The Wii U. The console that started everything for me. My love for video games started here. One Christmas my mom and dad gave me this wonderful thing. I got my Wii U with Mario Kart 8 and the original Wii pre-downloaded on the console. And I loved that thing for years. Thank you Wii U.

Thanks for supporting the Wii U, my favorite videogame system, certainly not the first that i had, nor the system that i got atention because it sold poorly, but because i felt the magic as soon as i touched the gamepad, i saw so many posibilities since launch, many of them not fulfilled. Many of my game ideas have concentrated on asymetric screen interaction that only the Wii U does simultaneusly. Also, thanks to the Wii U i got into collecting, i'm currently not going for the full NA physical set, but i'll go for all those games that i like on the system, there are many that i do think are worth it, also they're cheap right now. Not to mention that Nintendo gave me a bunch of free games on the system thanks to Club Nintendo deals and the Deluxe Digital Promotion, many good past memories and many more memories to make with the console.
This brings me back to Christmas 2013. One of the best days of my life.

Ads, terrible battery life, couldn't hold a charge, poor and cringe marketing games, couldn't access 3rd party games, removing miiverse, terrible naming of the console, too clunky and heavy to carry, and, to be fair, I'm not really a fan of the Wii U, I don't like this console, sure it has amazing games but it's not a handheld so you couldn't carry it around on the go.
I know people will hate on me when I say this but, the Wii U sucks, the stupid ads made me hate it so badly AND the fact they had to remove miiverse for literally no reason😑

I just purchased mine, and I’m really excited. I always wanted a Wii U since it first came out and I haven’t played it since college. Can’t wait for the nostalgia to happen!
It did a market fail, but everything on there was great. I have many memories of me and my siblings just playing minecraft and building mazes in flat worlds. We even played lots of 3D world and Mario kart 8. It was one of the best consoles ever

I actually got a switch for Christmas 2018, with a nice collection of games now, i really enjoy it! Been playing Animal Crossing a lot lately haha! When i didn't have a switch i enjoyed playing on my wii u, since the switch didn't have a ton of games during that time, but thankfully got my hands on it with Smash Bros Ultimate. My wii u is pretty dusty ngl. But i always look back when i first got smash bros 4 and dlc for it and many other games, good times!

I had a lot of fun with my Wii U form things like Splatoon and Mario Maker to games you can play with friends like Mario 3D World, Nintendo Land, and Game & Wario. The Wii mode is a blessing because *Wii Sports Resort* (also a game I played with friends a lot) and stuff lie homebrew.
My first HD console, which unfortunately I got too late. I got it in December 2015, sold it for the switch in February 2017.
