This reminds me of Piccolo’s what-if story in Supersonic Warriors where Piccolo brought King Piccolo back to life and merged with him to gain power comparable to Majin Buu. Back then it felt like the coolest way to scale up Piccolo up after falling to the sidelines

With Piccolo as the strongest I don't see Gohan slacking off on his training. I can see them continuing that teacher-student relationship over the 7 year timeskip. It'd be interesting to see how it influences the Great Saiyaman.
No matter the what if, whatever change was made to the story, Gohan ALWAYS seems to somehow train more than he did in canon. Goku and Vegeta are dead? Oh well then Gohan would train a lot more because he is the only protector of earth. Everyone is alive after Cell? Then Gohan would surely be more motivated to train with everyone. Personally, I think that if Gohan didn't train even when he was the strongest willing fighter on earth and having lost his dad because he didn't give his all during a world ending event, Gohan would certainly not train when there's other people to defend earth.

I don't think it will, honestly with piccolo being this powerful this early on it kinda takes away the tension from all future arcs, I mean look how effortlessly he ended this arc, DBZ is one of those series that needs tension and stakes to be entertaining but making Piccolo op takes that away
Personally I think Shenron will come back around and give back the life Kami breathed into him when Dende finally becomes the Guardian and technically fixes/claims ownership of his Statue. I know that technically Shenron truly became Dende's creation when his latest upgrade changed his Statue.
I can see Piccolo training with King Kai later on & learning the Kaioken. I know he did it in other scenarios too, but it will be intresting to see him do it in this one too & constantly train. It’s the perfect technique for him & will definitely keep him the strongest
Damn killing the androids was pretty ruthless considering they hadn't really done anything evil yet. But Piccolo is a practical guy who wouldn't take that kind of chance after hearing what they do in the future.
I kind of want to see a what if where Piccolo does something similar in Gt where after Baby Gohan defeated him he had Elder Kai unlock his potential while he trains Goku and I imagine this would eventually lead into a Orange Piccolo and Super Saiyan 4 Goku vs Baby Vegeta fight
I feel bad for 16, 17 and 18 getting killed in this timeline cause they weren't actually evil in this. Well minus 16 wanting to kill Goku. Though I still think they could have been reasoned with.
I am perfectly fine with having the yellow pickle in early, but I think it would make more sense if he did it after Dende became the new Kami because one: the dragon balls needed to be upgraded in the movie, and two: Piccolo says himself that Kami didn’t know that the dragon balls can be upgraded. Minor nitpick, but I just rewatched the Movie last night, so this kinda caught my eye. Again, go right ahead and make Piccolo the strongest as we need more Piccolo love

Piccolo's best time to be unlock potential is on Namek, when he was revived and teleported there. If Piccolo was teleported directly in to Grand Elder Guru's place. Piccolo could share some of his energy to Guru to live longer. So Guru unlock Piccolo's potential then fuse with Nail, vegeta got immortality. The story would be much more reasonable and fun. Vegeta might experience Evil Containment Wave much earlier.
