I have to laugh at people who choose to watch this video then argue with the points made in the comments! This is good advice for ladies who are able to and choose to present themselves as put together!

I lost over 20 pounds this year and even though I have another 35 pounds more to lose, I have started buying some new clothes. I have taken tips from you and it has started to pay off. I got a compliment from a stranger today about how cute my outfit looked. I haven't received an outfit compliment in a long time. I was wearing a white t shirt, black blazer, wide leg, crop jeans, black ballet flats, and some minimal jewelry.

I just upgraded my every day nylon bag (which i like because of its size and organization) to something a little more refined looking (and very similar to the black crossbody you showed). Also just bought new bras to wear with my nicer blouses. We all need these kind of reminders from time to time. Thank you!
Yeah, I get that the Hukas are wrong, but EVERY other more cute shoes I own kill my feet when I wear them to go shop/get groceries. Fashion Police at grocery stores are going to have to get over it. It's not worth the pain and suffering.

Suggestion: Cole Haan makes amazing comfortable and stylish sandals and Ecco makes the equivalent in boots. Never a single blister. Blisters with *everything else* including sneakers
Get a pair of custom orthotics, and you will be able to wear almost any shoes. I had a case of really persistent and super painful plantar fasciitis, and was told by 2 doctors that I'll need surgery. After getting orthotics I can wear almost any shoes.
Hokas plus custom orthotics saved my feet - LOVED this video.

I have some of those and the Soma "no lines" briefs but lately with all the high waist slacks that I own, the midrise is causing a line to appear across my stomach, and I really need the high waist briefs (short legs but a long torso). Bras and shoes are your best investments. Both are not only important to look good, but both are meant to support you. Don’t wear the same bra every day, as your body heat will destroy the elastane that helps support you and cut short its useable life. Just my opinion. 🙂 Thank you Serena for all the great information.

I hear you, Serena! I use my Neverfull for day-to-day use, but when we go out to dinner or event I use a tasteful clutch or small shoulder bag.

So many faux pas! Sometimes it just hurts my eyes to see that people don’t look at themselves in the mirror before they leave the house.

As I’m older, I realize that people don’t care about how they look as much as they used to .
They don’t get dressed to go out to restaurants they don’t get dressed up for church dressing decently to go shopping .

Hi Serena, great video! I agree and see many of these style mishaps every day as well. Currently, I am struggling to find a good pair of stylish walking sneakers that won't kill my feet after all day walking in Italy this summer. Right now, I have a pair of nude colored New Balance sneakers that are super comfortable. I'll have to keep looking. Thanks for the shopping links. Love your videos 😊

I think the print dress with a navy background would look good with navy sandals if your legs are dark complected or if they were strappy navy sandals on any complexion. It would keep from bring heavy visually, but still match the dress, Just my take….🙂. Love your channel!

Our food costs and housing costs are through the roof, and many businesses had to close their doors sadly due to being shut in due to Covid. Our business almost went down in flames, but miraculously we made a comeback, with bra straps and panty lines full on show due to sheer exhaustion😂. I love your no nonsense approach, and I am a thrifting gal, and put together some of the most amazing outfits, and get complimented quite often, so ladies there are ways to look amazing on a budget, and shop clearance isles for classic clothing staples, and essential beauty products, and only when needed!
I had to get up to let my dog out I came back to the section of the video with the black slacks and tan bag with the guitar strap bag. My first thought was what’s wrong with that casual outfit. The bag made me interpret the slacks as jeans and the silky top asa lightweight denim top!
But they weren't. It was black slacks and a satin shirt.

Hey Serena. It has been a minute. I’m still subscribed to your channel. That’s so strange about the black shoes. The first thing I noticed was your black hills with that beautiful dress. The thing I’m guilty of is now & than the chipped nail polish. Not when I’m going somewhere nice. I might run to store or bank within my nails done properly. My toenails always look good. I used to get all that done @ the salon but when the pandemic hit in 2020 I stopped & started taking care of my own manicure & pedicure. I’m going to start going back bc it’s getting to be a bummer keeping up with my nails. That pillow looks great !! Thanks for. Ringing some of these to my attention. You al aye look so put together. Are you letting your hair grow back out ? Your hair looks great it just looks a little longer. Why women would wear the chunky sneakers with any outfit except for working out is beyond me. Great information! I wish that I had a gift of seeing outfits that I might like, but making sure I wear them so that they look stylish. I wear an underwire bra from Victoria Secret that works well....and they can be pricey...and then I checked out the underwire bra that you linked and it showed the price of 70.00....I would only be able to afford 1 bra for the whole year...lol. I also buy my seamless panties from Victoria Secret...they are nice and work well...and usually you get 5 for 35.00. The seamless panty linked is 36.00 on sale for one panty....not on sale 50.00...whew...I can't afford that....wish I could for sure😊
I recently trained to walk a half marathon. To prepare my feet I alternated between two pair of the same kind of Saucony shoes and tube socks from Skatersocks every day, all day. There are excuses 🤓. My feet had no pain and are healthier than ever 😎🙌🏼
I sleep sitting up! lol! I have reflux and stack about three pillows up then get an arm pillow to lean on and I barely move all night!

Black shoes do tend to weigh down an outfit where only a little black can be seen. However, on darker skin that weightedness isn't there. Lastly, all blak isn't inky. There is charcoal black, blue black, green black, purple black, & brown black. One might suit the outfit better than the others, depending on whether or not the outfit is muted, etc. Or, perhaps no black (shoes/accessories) would be better.

Seriously? It's not always feasible for me to change nail colors with every video I film. I don't paint my own nails. I get my manicures & pedicures at the salon.
