    DO I think the olive harvester will pay off? No not really, I don't. Do I think it's a mistake? Again, no, I don't think it is. Honestly, it is nice to see y'all doing something different rather than the same old crop & harvest, sheep and wool/clothing, cutting trees, silage, etc. There is only so many times you can do that stuff before it becomes repetitive. Whereas I don't think I have seen any anyone in recent memory doing olives, so it makes a nice change of pace and adds to the challenge that y'all have set for yourselves. Cheers!

    Your commentary on this episode made me smile, Chainsaw. 90% of it was you trying to convince yourself (and us, probably 😂) that the olives were a good idea!! Honestly though... Well done for sticking with it, and it makes the content entertaining, so great that you persevered. Please though, put a lock on the safe now... The money is burning a hole in Daggerwin's pocket!!!

    I think putting a bridge arcoss the creek near where you were just clearing the trees would be good so you have another access route to the olives and fields behing your yard

    • @Diesal3
      @Diesal3 Před 23 dny +4

      I suggested that they use the tool and make a natural wider bridge where the current one is so its much easier to traverse. Adding a second one in that area you're talking about would be a very good idea as well.

    Between planting more olives and buying the equipment for the little tractor to do all the prep work, probably nearly a million is still necessary to make the olives profitable.

    Really great to see you and Daggerwin working well together, making decisions that benefit the farm growth really well! Cheers m8! Meh.. the olive stuff was a past decision... so not counting all of that though.. the 300,000 could have gone to more nice stuff.... but still the last several episodes have been fantastic

    @psychic2you Před 23 dny +3

    Maybe use the MF for spraying, that tractor can have narrow tires. This way the crop will most likely not be destroyed by driving over it. I don’t know if the Valtra can have narrow tires.
    Nice to see you have the harvester for the olives.

    It's cool to see how your bank value increses about 5k in every now and then, multiple times in an episode. If the eggs are in, mayonnaise passively increases your money and for the whole day it sums up nicely.

    Good day Chinasaw hope you having a good week - :)
    1. I think if it was me I would buy 32 plot then 33 after - make like a block of six
    2. Were you been cutting the tress leave the tress by the river - have you thought of planting a few trees ( in time to like to break up the fields a bit - ( I do that on maps like this No Mans Land etc - just to add a bit of character - just a thought :)
    3. You make a good stuntman with the tractor
    4. Hey stop and think of this - you have done 100 videos between you and Daggerwin - and it just dawned on me I have watched 100 viideos :) - Amazing job really is - you should do something to mark that

  • @MrGeneralScar
    @MrGeneralScar Před 22 dny +1

    Your Weed control score will also go up, but for it to be max you need to wait for a full rotation of all your fields. That alone will give you extra profit, plus the savings on herbicide. 2000L will cary you through 3 or 4 full farm crop cycles now, whereas that would have been a good 6000L of herbicide per year. So at over 2 grand for 2000L, saving 8 IBCs worth, is almost paying for your upgrade without the bonus to PF score.
    Also I could be wrong, but I dont think you done any form of PH, or nitrogen treatment for those olives, so the yield was likely really bad.

  • @jacobanderson1891
    @jacobanderson1891 Před 22 dny

    Tip: throughout the series, I’ve noticed both you and Daggerwin having a little trouble stripping branches off the trees and the game thinking you want to cut it. That might be because the chainsaw is rotated slightly. If it’s vertical, it should be easier. I haven’t tried it myself, so I can understand any doubt, but that sounds reasonable. You might already be aware of it too.

    I don't think you need a proper tree harvester just yet but there is a mod for a tractor mounted one that's $45k and would help speed things up and give you consistent lengths. I used one the help save up for buying the Komatsu harvester when playing on that map.
    Your joy and enthusiasm about the olives is overwhelming.... lol. I'm not sure using olive oil for the mayo is worth it. You already have a ton of canola and sunflower oil. Wouldn't it just be better to use those and sell the olive oil? You will never make a profit with the olives regardless of what you do, best just to treat them as a fun side project that is not to be taken seriously.

    The olives were a mistake from a profitability standpoint. I mean, it's all about having fun, so it's not a crisis, but they are terribly hard to make profitable... and they're going to hoover up the funds you need to grow the farm in other ways that pay off much better - think productions and land acquisition, for example (more eggs, please!). You can fix this damage by putting the mayo sale point back up, because you're going to spend upwards of a half million before you get anything going, and then you'll have to commit big time to scaling them up. Daggerwin's done olives before in the past, so I'm surprised that he didn't recall how fumbly and costly they are. Ah well, it's all entertainment in the end, isn't it? Cheers.

    need the rest of the olive equipment also. the sprayer and the mulcher to increase yield. since that newly cleared area is so flat ti save it for productions. if you want more liver tree which yes you need. the fields that next to your current trees into an olive grove then that plot of land next to the area you been clearing trees and put a new field in there to grow crops. to me I don't know why you have two olive groves that far apart. It is good to see your all are making progress.

  • @hammerslap5639
    @hammerslap5639 Před 23 dny

    your big field takes 1 tote at $1000 to spray. you will need to turn over that much land 40 times just to get your 40k back on savings. not sure how much the bonus will change but your not gona turn over that many fields. Not sure it was worth it.

    • @Broken__Reality
      @Broken__Reality Před 23 dny

      It soon adds up with the EV score bonus from selling. They sell a lot every episode and £39k will soon be made back just from the bonus from sales ignoring the savings on herbicide.

    • @hammerslap5639
      @hammerslap5639 Před 23 dny

    • @Broken__Reality
      @Broken__Reality Před 21 dnem

      Yes the bonus get better the higher the environmental score is and it soon adds up. Their fields were in the 70's IIRC and they will get up in to the 80's. They would get more score as well if they used the sensor that can be fitted to tractors when spreading fertiliser.
      It doesn't take a much bigger bonus for it to soon pay off the £39k.

    • @Broken__Reality
