Thanks Martin...The reset worked quite well once all of the stars were aligned correctly. (It did take pulling the old xp machine out of mothballs, but for what else did I keep it around anyway) And another thing, I laughed when you said to check that the usb cable was, in fact, in the usb port...Of course it was, not! I found it all snugged up nicely in the ethernet port. Many thanks again for keeping this Epson Artisan out of the rubbish for another few years.

+Waldon Nail I've lost count of the number of folks who have done this or gone out and bought a USB cable that connects the front PictBridge port with the computer. *sigh*
