Just wanna tell you that this video is still doing wonders in 2020! Thank you so much for making this. Ladies, if you're worried about installing this yourself DONT. If I can do it by myself so can you! Thanks again, this light is still worth ALL the money!
Just a heads up to anyone watching this still… you’ll have to either connect it to your high beams, fog lights, headlights, daytime lights or install a toggle switch. They’ll continue drawing power from your battery with your vehicle turned off. It took a couple months but they eventually drained my battery. Didn’t suspect the light bar since only the tiny red led stays on but after my battery died several times, I finally disconnected my light bar. My battery hasn’t drained since, so I’ll be hooking it up to head lights. The light bar will still remain off until you turn them on with the remote but this way, your battery will keep its charge after you turn off your ignition.
Best install video for these I’ve seen. Much appreciated!
Thank you for this video! When I opened the box and realized the instructions weren't there, I bugged. I couldn't have done it without your video! Thanks again!!
Just purchased this just because of your video!!! Looking forward to your help when we install! Thank you for taking the time!!
Great video thanks for the run down.
Thanks for the video. Helped me out a lot.
Great video
Great video! Keep uploding light bar video.
Thanks for the video. I was able to install mine although I did not purchase extra wire as the wire that came with it I was able to cut it and use it for the other lights but thanks again!!
Jorge Gonzalez no problem! happy it worked out
Question does your light bar still make noise with the silicone that you applied on it?
Jorge Gonzalez they worked pretty well but i would actually look into finding another product. the adhesive just isnt that strong. overall tho the noise is minimal if any.
Awesome. Did you experience any rubbing of the metal from the brackets against your paint after months of use at all?
Your video has helped tremendously! A couple questions for you if you don’t mind. 1. How did you end up getting the wiper arm off? I removed the bolt but the thing won’t budge. 2. Did you figure out how to ground that one piece you showed?
Kris Wenzel we could not get the wiper off completely either. so we worked around it. and the relay does not need to be grounded, my electrician friend confirmed this. we believe that metal tab sticking out from it is strictly for mounting it somewhere in the engine.
Taylor Smith Thank you!!!
Yes the Relay needs to be grounded
Good stuff mah gah
Did you do anything for the red light when it’s off? So it doesn’t drain the battery
So I just got this from Amazon and I tried the door seal method on the fins, and maybe I'm using the wrong weather seal strip because it hums like a mofo. Any tips?
Nice video! Is there a way to wire the lights into an A pillar rocker switch panel?
I wired my fog lights and driving lights into my A-pillar with a switch set I bought on eBay. Amazon has them too.
Do you got any light reflection in the windshield from the bar?
Great video man...after months since installing any issue with light bar and cube lights
MEDINA 22 No issues to report so far.
Taylor Smith so what about the switch inside I noticed the light stays on when you have the lights turned off isn't that drawing current from the battery
MEDINA 22 no issues with the battery since the install.
did the weatherseal help with the noise at all?
Did the weather stripping g stop the whistle?
Can I use this same kit for a 2002 tj sport?
will those brackets work with a curved bar?
Mr. This leed is 50 inch or 52 inch ?? My car is jeep wrangler 2004
Does it cause any glare at night?
Does the upper part of the mount rub against the paint and are there any issues when opening the door?
That’s what I’m curious about. Did you get any more info on this?
I just installed this light bar and so far loving it. I noticed the red light on the on and off button is always on. Is this normal or did I do something wrong?
I think it is normal
Switch the wires around
How was the wind noise?
Does the relay need to be grounded?
How’s the noise? Does it whistle? Did the weather stripping help
I'm wondering the same as I just put one on my wife's jeep and the whistle is crazy
Me too. Where is the noise coming from?
Hey man , how is it holding up ? I'm about to buy one on Amazon and was just wondering if it's good quality. Thanks.
Boris still great.
Can you turn on only the small lights, or do you have to have them all on at once?
Bulldog44s all at once. youll need to purchase and wire up a second switch to separate them. not terribly difficult, just more work.
i dont reccomend putting weather stripping there, the heatsinks are there for cooling purposes
Even though leds run pretty cool anyways?
Slacin' Ace It’s not like you have the light bar on all day.
Should of used heat wraps for the wiring
Oooooh the wire nuts nooo use quick splice connectors and butt connectors oooh it’s not pretty wiring anymore fellas
How the hell did you get the blades off? Mine were stuck like yours ;-(
great video..just bout to pull the plug on this one...So you connected the small lights red and black to the light bar and spliced the relay to them as well...i have red and black wire already and waterproof connectors but people are saying i should get the second relay and switch for the 2 lights..I want them all together on 1 switch....have u had any issue with the red light staying on? lastly did u need longer windshield torq screws? thanks!! great video
i cut the original wiring harness and spliced in the black and reds so they all worked on one switch. havent seen any issues yet. the relay says 40amp so i figure the 300w light plus two 18w spot lights is 336w divided by the 12-14v battery puts me at around 24-28amps. i contacted them about the red light for the switch and they said of the 1000+ orders no one has complained about it draining the battery. It draws next to no amps so i imagine it will be a long time before it ever kills the battery. you could always disconnect the switch at that white switch connector clip? but then you would always have to reclip it to turn the lights on. and no all our stock bolts worked fine. unsure why people said you needed longer ones.
awesome thanks much!
Bhai mere ko bhi leni hai light bar 52 inch
So where did you splice the small lights to the light bar?? At 12:19 I get completely lost trying to figure out where you got the cable you ran from the driver side and the passenger light to connect to the main light bar cable? Do I have to cute a piece of rubber of the cables and splice it like that? PleAse help
in the beginning of the video i mention purchasing the red and black wire separately from home depot. i then ran that from the spot lights to the switch wire which i had to cut so i can properly splice all the wires together. let me know if that helps.
Taylor Smith awesome man thanks for your help I took all your advice except the part where you bought the extra set of cables i actually had enough cable from the original wiring to run all three lights 👌🏼👍🏻 thanks for your help!!
I’m stuck on not how to connect the small led lights to the bar with the switch?
Claudia Chapa i dont understand your question
Taylor Smith how are you supposed to connect the pod wires and the light bar all together and spice it
Where is the button at
Anyone know what size the screws are that connect the bar to the mount?
What size are the weather wire knots
Don’t ever use wire nuts for this. Use butt-splices or solder/heat shrink
Any problems with the lights or wiring as of now?
Mike Hawk nothing yet. the only test we really havent put it through yet is leaving on for over an hour.
Taylor Smith Just an fyi My mechanic said the relay u spoke of does not get grounded.
i think i live in the same development as you lmao like no joke
thats pretty funny. yeah my dad and i are typically out there fixing something on one of our cars hahah say hello next time you see us
Taylor Smith definitely will say hello!! I love your video as well keep it up!!
U should had cut off all that extra wires for a cleaner look. Also this cars are 12 volts I dnt think u would get 18 volts from the battery 🤔
Can this be installed into an spod system
Droffats_views i dont know the answer to this. sorry.
Droffats_views yes it can
Once you took it out did you have any issues with loud base like wind vibration? I have the same light bar, I don't have the loud whistling but the pulsing vibrations are annoying.
Erick Jackson you know, i was just thinking do you have a soft top? because when we installed this we had the hard top on with no problems and then we installed a soft top a few weeks later and the pulsing vibration noise from the soft top is so loud we can hardly hear the radio. i wonder if its because of the light bar soft top combination?
How in the hell did you get through the fire wall??? ...I'm stuck
skye Carpenter if youre having a hard time, take a wire hanger and push it through the driver side to the engine bay, hook and tape the switch to it and then pull back through to the driver side. just be careful not to damage the switch.
Look up heat shrink butt connectors..... lol lot cleaner and slim line ...
