    Just wanna tell you that this video is still doing wonders in 2020! Thank you so much for making this. Ladies, if you're worried about installing this yourself DONT. If I can do it by myself so can you! Thanks again, this light is still worth ALL the money!

    Just a heads up to anyone watching this still… you’ll have to either connect it to your high beams, fog lights, headlights, daytime lights or install a toggle switch. They’ll continue drawing power from your battery with your vehicle turned off. It took a couple months but they eventually drained my battery. Didn’t suspect the light bar since only the tiny red led stays on but after my battery died several times, I finally disconnected my light bar. My battery hasn’t drained since, so I’ll be hooking it up to head lights. The light bar will still remain off until you turn them on with the remote but this way, your battery will keep its charge after you turn off your ignition.

      Jorge Gonzalez they worked pretty well but i would actually look into finding another product. the adhesive just isnt that strong. overall tho the noise is minimal if any.

    Your video has helped tremendously! A couple questions for you if you don’t mind. 1. How did you end up getting the wiper arm off? I removed the bolt but the thing won’t budge. 2. Did you figure out how to ground that one piece you showed?

    • @tsmithua
      @tsmithua  Před 6 lety +2

      Kris Wenzel we could not get the wiper off completely either. so we worked around it. and the relay does not need to be grounded, my electrician friend confirmed this. we believe that metal tab sticking out from it is strictly for mounting it somewhere in the engine.

    great video..just bout to pull the plug on this one...So you connected the small lights red and black to the light bar and spliced the relay to them as well...i have red and black wire already and waterproof connectors but people are saying i should get the second relay and switch for the 2 lights..I want them all together on 1 switch....have u had any issue with the red light staying on? lastly did u need longer windshield torq screws? thanks!! great video

    • @tsmithua
      @tsmithua  Před 7 lety +2

      i cut the original wiring harness and spliced in the black and reds so they all worked on one switch. havent seen any issues yet. the relay says 40amp so i figure the 300w light plus two 18w spot lights is 336w divided by the 12-14v battery puts me at around 24-28amps. i contacted them about the red light for the switch and they said of the 1000+ orders no one has complained about it draining the battery. It draws next to no amps so i imagine it will be a long time before it ever kills the battery. you could always disconnect the switch at that white switch connector clip? but then you would always have to reclip it to turn the lights on. and no all our stock bolts worked fine. unsure why people said you needed longer ones.

At 12:19 I get completely lost trying to figure out where you got the cable you ran from the driver side and the passenger light to connect to the main light bar cable? Do I have to cute a piece of rubber of the cables and splice it like that? PleAse help

      @tsmithua  Před 5 lety

      in the beginning of the video i mention purchasing the red and black wire separately from home depot. i then ran that from the spot lights to the switch wire which i had to cut so i can properly splice all the wires together. let me know if that helps.
