I used to work at a hotel and this was one of my favorite times of the year. We’d get red envelopes from guests who were Chinese and it was the best. Not because of the money but because it was a very sweet gesture that I just really loved. I truly hope they had a very lucky year because they offered a little generosity to me.
I worked for a prop management company and the guy who sold my boss calendars would always bring me something for Lunar New Year and say it's because our countries are so close together, we're cousins. He was so sweet. It wasn't expensive stuff but I wore/used them until they broke. :D
