This guy always makes me self conscious about the smallest details when I play football. But that’s the point. Unbelievable channel!
Thanks mate! Although I talk a lot about the details, so much of it comes naturally over time, without thinking about it 👌
The smallest details often can make or break your game
Imagine how Maguire would feel if he watched the vid 😅
That's exactly what you need to have when training.
In real play you just execute at the best of your ability.
This guy talks about topics no one else talks about, thankyou you're such a gem
Thanks mate!! Glad you’re enjoying the video 😁🧡
Already the best football channel.
🙏🙏🙏
Actually true❤
Fr
Cap
yeah for real
Way to go my man! Love how you cover these smaller, intricate details that are often overlooked! Keep it up! 🙌🙌
Cheers Oskar!! As you know, It’s those smaller details that count 👌😉
Oskar 😮
One way of almost guaranteeing zero bounce on your passes is to jab the ball with your leg straight downwards, instead of the usual pendulum coil of the leg.
The fizzing noise the ball makes as it sticks solely to the ground is super satisfying.
Also helps with accuracy and guile, being able to generate lasered ground passes with almost zero backlift.
Practice on a static ball first, then once the technique is nailed, on an onrushing ball. The jab angles start varying but the technique is the same.
1 minute into the video and I have already subscribed. Not only the issue you emphasize was a huge eye opener for me even as an EXPERIENCED football player, but the video quality and everything else is amazing. It is very hard to find such quality content on CZcams but here we go, lets see what this channel will offer.
Appreciate it mate! So glad you enjoyed this one 😁🧡
thank you. many detail for this.
The fields I played on growing up made playing the ball smoothly along the ground more of a gamble than giving it some lift.
Fun, light yet educational. Great job mate!
Hey, man of this amazing video! Just wanted to say that I absolutely loved it. The way you explained micro bounces in football was so captivating. The visuals and analysis were spot on. It's incredible how those small bounces can make such a big difference in the game. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and passion. Make more if these videos. Great job! 🙌
Thanks so much! Really glad you liked it and got value out of it 😁 That pesky micro bounce I tell ya 🤣
this channel really needs more recognition. started watching you about a week ago and you really stand out from some other football channels. the music, the editing the information, it’s just amazing, keep up the work man 🤝🏾
Thanks mate!! Appreciate you being here and glad you’re enjoying the vids 🙌🙌
i am trainer with fifa pro licence....great channel great tips nice biomehanic tips for football elements keep good work....my 7 years old kid love you and he is new modric@@thefootballfolk
It's a very beginner mistake. As time goes by when you're playing regularly and doing one touch drills this automatically gets resolved through muscle memory although I'm really glad you highlighted this issue
It's actually amazing how many things we take for granted that we developed over the years of playing.
Needed this! Thank you!
love your content mate stopped playing football a little while back but got back into it because of you now playing at a sunday league team and playing it a lot on weekdays thanks mate keep it up ❤
Thank you for spending your time
for all of us and helping us get better! Your the best football channel on youtube and I hope more people see your channel cause you really do deserve more. Thank you!
This channel is really helpful
Short and sweet 💞
Thank you 🙏
I've definitely played with strikers who had good overall technique but were often guilty of "the bounce" because they weren't used to playing deeper. Spreading the ball across the surface with your passing is as important as getting low and leaning into taking shots.
this tutorial gets straight to the point and is useful. thanks!!
Thank you for useful information
Incredible Tony, super video. The attention to detail is phenomenal. Best football tutorials on You Tube by a country mile
You’re awesome Rich!! Appreciate you mate
Very nice video as usual, good explanations and examples! I don't really have issues with it on the "real" pitch but when playing indoor this becomes more of a problem for me... gotta have to practice! Keep it up!
Cheers mate 👍 I find that playing indoors and on turf this tends to happen more. I think the stickiness of the surfaces highlights the chopping action on the ball 🤷🏼♂️
and also on roads
Getting into the game with the lads, and got to say its absolute helpful and I like the attention to detail
Again, you find an overlooked thing that's actually crucial. Great content as usual. This tree branch is becoming legendary!
Appreciate it Kristiyan!! 🧡🧡
That log never lets me down 😂🤣
Liked the video already after the first minute because of the quality and effort put into it, but as a United fan I wish I could give it a second like just for the moment at 2:25 where it cuts to maguire just existing while talking about lack of control on the ball, not even a clip of him losing the ball, just Maguire in general… And specifically while he says the word “wasting” too💀😭
Needed this video. Thanks a lot!
Most welcome Danny - glad it hit the mark 🧡
Loved the NTNOCN bit.
The effort you put in your videos is just surreal. It's way more than we could've imagined anyone doing. Love from🇮🇳
That’s too kind of you! You guys are worth it!!
Great video and valid points and legit mistakes 👌
amazing channel. Simple tips, but very smart and useful.
Ever since I've watched your first video , I became addicted to your channel , your videos have got everything I need to know about football
That’s awesome!! So glad you’re find them useful 😁🧡

Awesome video. Like the Maguire cameos to reinforce the idea 😂
i love this channel and the quality is amazing thank you
That’s so good to hear! Thanks you 🙏🧡
Man, i love this channel soo much. Its grown soo fast because the amount of quality you put into these videos. I remember first seeing your channel when you had under 30 subscribers, which is crazy considering now you have 50k+.
Keep it up bro 👊🙏🙏🔥🔥🔥🔥
Wow thanks mate! You were here early!! Appreciate the kind word 🧡
This really helps. Have been having problems with passsing and now its better. Thank you :)
So good to hear mate 🧡
nice grind keep it up
Your videos are so entertaining, informative and just great!!
🧡🧡🧡
Thank you SO much for this❤️❤️
🙏🙏🙏
I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for the invaluable knowledge and insights you share with the football community. Your expertise has greatly helped me improve my skills on the field. I would be extremely grateful if you could create a short video specifically focusing on enhancing winger skills. Your guidance would be immensely beneficial for aspiring wingers like myself. Thank you once again for your dedication and contributions to the football community.
🙏🙏🙏
I know I do this sometimes, i think my standing leg is okay but opening up my hip more was kind of an eye-opener. Subbed!
tbf i do think this is more common in like sunday league since the fields are so rough, a flat pass will likely end up bouncing anyways. great video tho, i always felt that something was off with some of my short passes and passes ive received and this is definitely it
A bouncing ball is inevitable for sure, especially the fields I grew up playing on. It’s more the quality of the connection I was referring too that causes it to be pushed into the ground on contact :) Appreciate the kind words mate 😁🙏
thank you for sharing those simple but important applications
🙏🙏🙏
Good content
Underrated guy.
Clearly have a Maguire problem 😢
Super helpful video, and super cool 😎 video work. Nice job!!
🧡🧡🧡
Bros doing great...keep going😇😎
Great video, love how you threw Maguire under the bus there
Give us a proper video on defending well as I’m a defender and I need that! I love ur videos are very understanding and legit 💯
The effort you put in is incredible to produce these actually helpful guides which is pretty much appreciated.
I have a suggestion that you should also try to lean over the ball which help to mantain your balance and helps with your planting foot.
🙏🙏🙏
Another great video, good work Tony
🧡🧡
People don’t understand how much time and practice it takes to be able to pass effectively always, it’s insane
I can see the growth💪
love your videos and that log is becoming iconic
🤣🤣
Never to late to learn . Appreciate you my guy
🧡🧡🧡
ty hope u make more vids like this
🧡🧡
this is my #1 problem, thanks for helping!
the editing on this vid is amazing
got some awesome games on my channel with hilarious commentary - love seeing these tips!
Love the vids
I'm so happy someone talks about these details I thought I was craxy
Great point for a video
I was abt to come check if u made a video on passing😂 perfect timing
🙌🙌🙌
THIS! For years and years and years I have commented (to close friends) that professional soccer players (at least in Mexico) come out poorly prepared. For me, there are 3 basic things that show that a player was well trained: passing, receiving and driving the ball at high speed. I have been told that I am exaggerating, that it is not important, that this does not define a good footballer but I always, ALWAYS, see insufferable matches that are made up by a good goal or some bad refereeing or something else.
this video is literally a biopic of what i’m thinking when i’m playing i’ve noticed that so many people do this bounce pass and don’t seem to think anything of it so i have been so purposeful in the last 2 years trying to make my passes glide and not bounce and i swear it makes such a difference great video mate
as a part time youth coach, i already love this channel
I had forgot the name of your channel since last year but once I saw it ...i subscribed without hesitation 🙌🏾🔥⚽
Amazing mate! Good to see you again 🧡
love the intro mate
This is some legendary editing
i am in love with your videos
I started playing football in a team at 14 years old. And even though I became quite good at more complicated skills and techniques, no one ever taught me the basics of football (which you learn at 6-12 years old).
The pros are not better because they can do more skills, they are better because they can do the basic skills insanely well and consistently.
I think training sessions should be more focused on those basic skills and priciples of football, even at an older age.
So thank you for this video ❤ It addresses a common problem for many footballers and a fix for it 🙌
Thanks mate! So true! Yea all the technical skills are great to learn, but the basics are what make you stand out. Cheers for sharing mate 🧡
Thanks
I never knew I did this and your video showed me what I was doing wrong all the time. Also, none of the Football channels have covered this small topic, but you did! ❤
🧡🧡
This man needs more attention 💯
this is a pretty important thing to have put into words, thank you!
You’re welcome 🧡🙌
Love it well done xx
🧡🧡🧡
A mistake that i have overlooked for many years, thanks man👍
The best football videos on the Internet!! Support from France
🙏🙏🙏
Hmm when I was a kid I realized this and I started to exercise hitting the pass in the exact spot in a row but I did not know the logic behind.
Then I tried to hit the pass exactly where I wanted from sprints and running, oh man I was masochistic.
I also did learn to semi shoot passes and the speed and accuracy was so good if the teammate would deflect in the direction I was sprinting.
Wish I had a real chance to be a football player, I was the type to try to hit the post from all angles for hours.
And my idol was inzaghi, I could have been in his team right now, and I would have worked very hard to keep the no9 tradition. Muller does it tho.
You are something different brooo. Keep it up. Road to 100,000 subscribers. Lets gooooo
Thanks mate!!! Let’s get it 💪
I noticed this matter long ago but my friends did not consider it as a big issue, so I'll send them this video, thanks man!
🧡🧡
Key to accurating passing
1 The Standing leg: It might be too far from the passing leg causing you to reach far and you get off balance or too close to get in the way of passing leg to mess up the pass or most common problem not pointing your standing leg towards the target.
2 The Knee: The key is to open it up and give space to your hips(doing so will aloow you to come through with a nice side foot using the big surface area of the inside of your boot while still keeping the standing leg facing towards the target and it's good idea that on contact to have this knee either in line or slightly behind the back of the ball resulting a cleaner controlled contact through the centre of the ball.
3 The follow through: it's super simple, not a full swing or a follow through instead more like a one inch punch(more precise and intentional but still powerful and very little follow through) this will prevent the issue of too much top spin and side spin from occuring.
4 Passing Whlist Moving: Same rules will apply if your moving with the ball while passing. Cancel the follow through while combining these steps and bring the ball to the ground as quickly as you can to continue your passing journey..
The tip of pointing standing leg towards the target is such a little thing that I definitely overlook- cheers!
You’re welcome!! 👌👌
this is such a niche thing to talk about, but I definitely agree that it is an issue! had difficulty keeping the ball down during try-outs
Appreciate it mate. I found that when I came back from a long term injury I was having this issue. I think nerves plays a part too 🤔
@@thefootballfolk Yeah I was pretty nervous as it was my first time trying out for pro football here and I didnt get much sleep the night before 😅 would love to see a video about players who are just coming back as I took a little break from football. Your vids inspire me to keep trying man, thanks a lot.
Can you make a video about the driven (straight) powerful shot?
Please make a video on crossing. It would be really helpful for us (wingers)
Can you make a video on positioning for wingers receiving passes from the defense and midfield and can you make a video on how to make your composure better
Bro i love Ur content and Ur mode yo explain it
🧡🧡
Playing golf made me realize that passing the ball is basically the same as putting. If you want to be the most accurate, you hit the ball slightly on the upstroke about center or just above with your foot square to target, to impart a bit of topspin on the ball which gets it rolling right away, as opposed to knuckleballing, or backspin or sidespin.
Does it matter if you're doing wall passing in normal shoes in concrete or in a pitch with football boots?
I like how he used 100 videos of Maguire making a bad pass😂
😅😅
Awesome video :)
Thanks Ash!
Excellent content
Much appreciated 🧡
I admire your effort to make these kind of videos. ❤ from 🇮🇳
Thanks mate! Really appreciate it 🧡🧡
How about aiming the kick a litle bit above the center horizon of a ball? I like doing that, the ball feels like being more pressed towards the ground. Also the topspin of ball immediately matches wih grip of the ground.
This is why I make my U11 comp kids practice wall passing. It's mandatory. The wall doesn't lie, it exposes all your weaknesses like little lift or micro bounce, bad passing techniques which makes it hard for you to keep continuous wall passing going. TY TFF!
Love it Tom! 🧡🧡
Fundamentals in football is one of the most important things
Lowkey fire
Amazing teaching to the detail of passing!👍👍👍
I still have something to share like before😜😜 You can cut the ball like play snooker to avoid bounces in some of cases.
And...
I have a question. I don't understand too much about "open hips". Is that means open the angle of(between?) two legs?
Hey Dai! Thanks for the additional point 👍🧡
In terms of the hips, if you pause the video you’ll see them at on the left, the hips are pointing towards the direction of the pass (imagine they were head lights for a car). And on the right, the hips are facing off to the side forcing her to adjust her leg as she comes through, resulting in a bad connection :)
It’s not to say this isn’t 1 of the thousand ways to kick a ball, just when you’re first learning, it’s a good idea to simplify the fundamentals 👍
I hope that helps clarify for you 😁🧡
@@thefootballfolk
Thanks for the explanation! Got it!👍👍👍
Definitley is is the hip that has to be opened up, I want to add a little detail. The swing of your leg is following a circle a way up to your upper body. If you hit the ball and the leg is on the way up, the ball bounces. If it is straight, for example your body is exactly above the ball you hit it straight.
Additional you can now move the hip, open it up and hinder the leg from a circuit stay parallel to the ground. That way you can also use a lot of power and make short passes long and flat. Steven Gerrard has a perfect technique. It was him who I copied.
